Stopwords: Set of commonly used words in any language.
For example, in English, “the”, “is” and “and”, are stop words. In NLP
and text mining applications, stop words are eliminated assuming
they are unimportant words, and focusing on the important words
instead.
 Stemming
• Stemming is the
process of reducing
a word to its word
stem that affixes to
suffixes and
prefixes or to the
roots of words
known as a lemma.
Bag of words • In BOW concept, a
sentence or a document is
considered as a 'Bag'
containing words. It will
take into account the
words and their
frequency of occurrence
in the sentence or the
document disregarding
semantic relationship in
the sentences.
