First, what is Injustice? Injustice is an any form of unfair treatment or lack of fairness. It occurs when
human rights are ignored and when some people do not receive equal treatments to others. Let’s talk about
the Justice System here in our country. Philippines’ Justice System is really unfair and it’s not equal at all.
That’s why many people always said that “The Justice is only for the rich people”. And I agree with this one,
The justice system is premised on the notion that rich and poor are treated equally. But today, access
to justice is based on how much you or a person can pay. It’s like even though you are innocent but the
opponent has quite a lot a money you’re the one who will be punished. There are worst scenario when
one’s innocent lives were taken and became sacrificial lambs. For example, in the movie Miracle in Cell
No.7. The film is about a mentally challenged man wrongfully imprisoned for murder, who builds friendships
with the hardened criminals in his cell, who in return help him see his daughter again by smuggling her into
the prison. After a years being inside the prison, he was still charged with the death penalty. Sadly, there are
also things like this happening in our country.

Injustice, it is the unfair judging of the court to an individual or a person who is from low class family
against the person with high status, money, and influence. Injustice is vast in the justice system of the
Philippines, even you are the victim once it is bring in to the court if you are not capable to hire a high caliber
lawyer you don’t have a chance to win the in the court that's why some cases or situation like any kind of
sexual assault one of this is rape. The rape cases have been growing throughout the years, with an average
annual rate of 19.08 percent since 2005. It is ten cases per 100,000 population here in the Philippines, and
the rest is still left unsaid because of thinking that they not have enough power and the Criminal justice is a
big waste of money also most of our fiscals and judges are corruptibles, they receives bribes resulting to their
unfair judgements.

So we talked about the act of injustice of the justice system in our country but there's even more act of
injustice in the world. The other type of injustice is discrimination. Discrimination is the unjust or prejudicial
treatment of different categories of people or things. Some act of discrimination are racism, homophobia,
and body shaming. They hate you or judge you because you're different. They discriminate you because
you're not in their standard, you're not normal or maybe they just do it for fun. You see, there's so many
injustice in this world that sometimes its just out of control. It can damage their mental health, their
confidence and when they got affected by it they choose to not show their true selves. Whether you're black,
asian, white, or any race, whether you're he, she, they, them, or any pronounce you would like the others to
call you, even of you're fat, thin, or skinny, some people may still discriminate you or will show injustice by
saying bad things, bully you or judge you just because you're different, be yourself and don't change just
because they are telling you to change.

“In conclusion, unfortunately, the justice system here in the Philippines is still weak. Delayed, Denied, and
Unfair.”
