Collaborated with the fraternitys office manager, historian, and alumni relations members to improve outreach strategies and communication among members. Volunteer Rutgers University Dance Marathon 3/09 Participated in a 32 hour dance marathon to raise $2,500 for the Embrace Kids Foundation. Light the Night, High Speed Chase for the Cure, and Big Chill 2/09 - 12/10 Participated in four walks and three competitive runs to raise money and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and The Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Toastmasters International Town, ST Attended weekly meetings to improve public speaking skills. 1/11 - 5/11 ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE TLC 2/11 - Present Transcriber Town, ST Transcribe raw video footage into a Microsoft Word document for later use in editing. Camp Echo 6/10 - 8/10 Cabin Counselor Town, ST Ensured safety, encouraged participation, and mediated problems between campers. Led a team of about 15 counselors in the design and building process of a parade float which won first place. Selected by management to lead approximately 100 counselors and half of the campers in a weeklong camp competition. Responsibilities included organizing events, scheduling of counselors, and managing conflicts.
