The production workshops are organized according to the principles of " Schneider Production System "
or "SPS".

SPS is Schneider Electric's industrial strategy. Its objectives are:


• Improve Safety, Quality, Service Level and Productivity in Schneider factories around the world

• To optimize the capital employed (stock + outstandings)


• While Involving employees

It is organized around 3 axes:


1. Staff Contribution: The 5S / The Short Interval Animation / The Suggestion System.

2. Product Design Process: Kaizen / G8D and 6 Sigma / SMED / Poka Yoke.

3. Management of industrial and logistics processes: MADC / WIP management / Client approach (PRR
treatment).

The application of the organizational principles of the "SPS" is a


unavoidable in the workshops through different working methods:

• The "5S" methodology


• “Lean Manufacturing”.
• Animation at short intervals.
• The Suggestion System.

5S methodology
Eliminate - Tidy - To clean - Standardize - Respect

The workshops are organized according to the principles of the 5S methodology


which is based on 5 principles:

1 Eliminate: Eliminate any unnecessary items. Dispose of scraps and waste in the
bins provided.

2 Tidy: Each object (cart, tools) in a location clearly


defined by colored tape and with a reference
photo.

3 To clean: Cleaning is good… not getting dirty is better. As soon as a stain is


noticed, I clean without waiting for the end of the shift.

4 Standardize: Respect the 5S standard.

5 Respect: Fill in the 5S audit of my workstation at the start of each shift.

Everyday: a 5S audit must be carried out when taking up a position.

Short interval animation

The performance of the workshops is measured hour by hour


by each operator on performance record books.

The "LEAN" principles of this performance monitoring are as


follows:
• a common language: the GREEN / the RED
• objectives known to all and visualized in workshops and
services
• a short frequency of performance measurement (per hour)

• systematic research into the causes of performance gaps


(research based on facts and not impressions)

The objective of this performance monitoring is to prioritize


actions progress depending on the issues (" pareto '). Performance reports

Kaizen is a methodology used for rapid improvement of a defined process (not long term perfection).

By setting up a group representing the various trades of the plant in which all the players contribute to the achievement of objectives
over a short period (eg: TPM on Rémini, 5S, AIC, etc.).

This methodology allows:

• Improving working conditions,

• Optimization of the area occupied,

THE SMED (Change of Series in less than Ten

The SMED is a methodology aimed at reducing and controlling the changeover time.

• By setting up a multidisciplinary working group.

• By analyzing all the operations necessary for changing the series in order to carry them out in masked
time (without machine downtime) and / or reduce them.

MADC is the process of:


• Supply the workstations with raw materials,
