This spunky 22 year old cant believe her stars that her very first Bollywood innings has

begun with a production house as prestigious as Dharma. Kainaz who auditioned for them a while back was left awestruck when director Ayan Mukherjee shortlisted her for the role of Tanya, While I dont have the liberty to talk about my character at length, in a nutshell, I'm playing the part of this girl called Tanya, who is Sid's (Ranbir's) family friend and also his co-worker. She's a sweet, intelligent, independent girl from South Mumbai, who's just come back to Bombay after studying abroad. Kainaz immediately fell in love with the script and knew she had to part of the youth-oriented subject, I read it at one go, I just couldn't put it down! I think the fact that it's such a young, fresh, fun film appealed to me. I'm sure the audience will love the film and the characters because they are just so real and identifiable. She remembers all the fun times while shooting for the film, she says ecstatically, Since I was a newcomer, I used to get ragged by Ranbir and Ayan all the time, and they're both such great actors, they would say things with a straight face and then burst into peals of laughter! But not all was fun and games, Kainaz learnt a lot from her co-stars, she adds They're both amazing people and such great, natural actors, just watching them work helps you learn so much. If I needed help with a scene, they'd be more than happy to rehearse with me, they made me super comfortable. I also had the honour of being in the same frame as Mr. Anupam Kher and Ms. Supriya Pathak, it felt awesome. Kainaz is only raring to go after WUSs release on October 2nd, the newbie actress has already completed her next film and has a couple of other future projects in the pipeline. I've done a film called Paathshala with Shahid Kapur, Ayesha Takia and Mr. Nana Patekar. I've also done 2 music videos which will be on air sometime in October. My basic principle is to do films that I would personally like to watch, which are entertaining, have a soul and are meaningful. Birthday: November 20, 1986
