Vision, Mission and Goals of Graduate School

Cognization of the current national thrust and consistent with the general aims of

graduate education as prescribed by the Department of Education (DepEd), graduate

schools in the country should explore varied avenues in the pursuit of the same ultimate

goals of national development. The Mindanao State University Graduate School

(MSUGS), in particular, has the following vision, mission, goal, and objectives:

Vision Statement

“MSU-Marawi Graduate School aspires to be the leading center of advanced

education in Southern Philippines offering relevant, responsive, globally competitive

programs, producing highly qualified and competent professionals, researchers and

leaders in various fields significantly contributing in the upliftment of human life and

society”

Mission Statement

 MSU-Graduate School is committed at promoting excellence in instruction and

research in order to produce globally competitive human resources contributing

to nation building, peace and development.

 MSU Graduate School is also committed to be the leading academic unit of MSU

in then promotion and development of advanced higher education in various

disciplines, at par with global standards.

 Goal

To develop human resources for nation building through advanced instruction,

research, and professional growth. And to provide quality graduate education through

excellent educational environment.

Objectives

1. To prepare students for functional and productive research in various educational

disciplines.

2. To enhance competencies in teaching, public administration, community

development educational management, sports, nursing, social sciences and

humanities, agriculture, mathematics and natural sciences, Islamic and global

studies, peace and science education.

3. To develop leaders in various fields of endeavor being offered in the university.

4. To provide technical expertise/know-how needed by the student clientele

contingent on university resources.

5. To enrich, preserve and transmit the cultural heritage through quality instruction,

research, practice and other media.
