The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) in Oman is seeking innovative, qualified Academic Faculty Members to join the Colleges of Applied Sciences (CAS) for the posts of: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer. Doctorate and Masters Qualifications are required for Design, Information Technology (IT), International Business Administration (IBA), Engineering and Communication Studies (Comm.). For English, BA qualifications will be considered. As the medium of study in CAS is English, all qualifications must have been earned on programmes of study taught and assessed in English, and all faculty must be able to teach effectively, in English, to students with an average IELTS equivalence of 5.0-6.0. 1. Engineering Program / CAS-Sohar Position: (Associate Professor, Assistant Professor). Requirements are as follows: 1. Specialisations A. Mechanical Engineering B. Electrical Engineering C. Chemical Engineering

2. No of Years of experience A. Teaching: at least three years B. Industry: at least two years (recommended but not necessary). 3. Qualifications 1. PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.

2. Design Program / CAS-NIzwa & Ibri Position: (Associate Professor, Assistant Professor). Requirements are as follows: 1. Specialization: A. Digital Design 1. multimedia 2. 2D 3. 3D 4. Animation B. Graphic Design C. Interior Design D. Art Theory 2. No of years of experience: A. Teaching: 3 years of teaching Design B. Designer in Company: 5 years 3. Qualifications: A. PhD is preferred but Masters holders will be considered as appropriate.

3. IT Program / CAS-Rustaq, Sur, Sohar & Ibri Position: (Professor,Associate Professor, Assistant Professor). Requirements are as follows: 1. Specialization: A. Security B. Data management C. PhD holders are preferred but Masters holders with sound academic and industrial experience could be considered

Position: (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor). Requirements are as follows: 1. Specialization: A. Accounting B. Economics C. Electronic commerce D. Operations Management 2. No of years of experience: A. Minimum 3 years of academic experience and industrial experience 3. Qualifications A. PhD holders are preferred but Masters holders with sound academic and industrial experience could be considered. B. 5. IBA Program / CAS-Rustaq, Salalah & Ibri

Position: (Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer). Minimum requirements are as follows: A. MA in English (TESOL, ELT, ESL, EFL or Applied Linguistics). B. A qualification in English Language Teaching (ELT) (e.g. PGCE, CELTA, DELTA, Trinity TEFL certificate). C. 3 years of English Language Teaching experience at tertiary level. D. First degree preferably in a related field. For ESP teachers, first degrees in relevant subjects such as IBA, Communications, Design, Engineering or IT would be welcome.

BA degree holders with relevant experience will be considered as follows: A. BA degree preferably in a relevant subject; must have been taught and assessed in English. For ESP teachers, first degrees in relevant subjects such as IBA, Communications, Design, Engineering or IT would be welcome. B. A qualification in English Language Teaching (ELT) (e.g. PGCE, CELTA, DELTA, Trinity TEFL certificate). C. 3 years of English Language Teaching experience at tertiary level.
