Q1. Sudip got divorced just a month back. His mother is a cancer patient. He is missing his daughter a

lot who now stays with her mother and Sudip gets to meet her only once a week. His boss has

received complaints from his colleagues that these days Sudip frequently gets into an argument

with people around him and gets angry at drop of a hat.

Using your knowledge of Non Violent Communication (NVC) explain how will you help Sudip’s

boss and his colleagues in dealing with Sudip.

Q2. You have received orders from headquarters to transfer Shelly to Mangalore. You know it is a

sensitive message for her as Mangalore was no where on her wish list for transfer; specifically

when her daughter will be appearing for her board exam this year. How will you deliver this

message to her? Substantiate your action on the basis of Approach/ Method and the way you will

use Logos, Pathos and Ethos. You need to draft the message in not more than ten lines.
Q3. Varun and Bhavesh joined a company together. Bhavesh was growing in his career each year but

Varun was struggling. Inspite of working for close to three years no one really knew him well in

office. Even Varun did not interact much on his own. Although, both started as Management

trainees, Bhavesh became a manager in just two years and was leading a team of more than fifty

people. Inspite of the fact that introverts can also become very successful managers, Varun is

facing a lot of challenges. Using your knowledge of Johari Window, explain the possible reasons

for Varun’s performance.

Q4. You are required to apply for a position of Sales intern.

Job Description for Sales intern: Getting in touch with new customers, fixing an appointment for

interaction and delivering company presentation.

Job Specification: PGDM student with good persuasive skills and presentation skills.

Draft a cover letter/ email for yourself based on Me-You-We model.
