The approved Research Agenda is implemented
The approved Research Agenda of ISPSC is being implemented as evidenced by the
number of completed, on-going and proposed research studies and projects.
The Office of Planning, Research, Extension and Training, headed by a Vice

President is responsible for overseeing all activities related to research,
extension, training and planning. Under the Vice President is a Director for
Research who supervises research concerns of the College.
The College, through the Office of Planning, Research, Extension and Training,
regularly conduct In-House Reviews for proposed, on-going and completed
research projects as part of the monitoring and assessment process. The Office
of Planning, Research, Extension and Training, also conducts the Search for
Best Graduate and Undergraduate Research where outstanding student
researches are presented and the winners are given awards.
Identified research outputs are also presented in different regional, national and
international fora and conferences. Results of completed researches are also
published in journals.
And finally, research outputs are submitted to the Intellectual Property Philippines
for intellectual property rights registration.
To enhance the knowledge and skills of faculty researchers as well as student

researchers, several capability building and enriching trainings and workshops
are conducted by the College. Faculty and student researchers also attend
trainings and workshops on the regional and national levels in order to keep
abreast with the latest trends in research and development.
The following evidences are captured from the Annual Reports for the Fiscal Years
2017, 2018, 2019.

of research agenda as bases for identifying institutional
thrusts and priorities:

I.2.5 Other stakeholders (alumni, parents, etc.)
The research agenda of ISPSC was initially drafted by the Office of Research,
Extension and Training taking into consideration the national, regional and local
thrusts and priorities. The drafted research agenda was then presented to the RDE
council for comments and suggestion during the joint Academic-Administrative-RDE
councils meeting. After incorporating the amendments, the research agenda was
approved by the body and recommended for approval by the Board of Trustees.
The research agenda was disseminated to the different stakeholders of the
College, which include among others the students, parents, government agencies,
non-government organizations, local government units, farm workers, fisherfolks,
and others.
