Research on key technology of the Rail Vehicle Manufacturing

DT System motivate by 3D Model

Helmut-Wu Xiangyang
Abstract: The aim of this report was to investigate the rail vehicle
manufacturing digital twins system motivate by 3D model. The study was conducted
by a railway company in Qingdao China . The sample size was obtained according to
Digital Twin make smart manufacturing in the context of China 2025 & Industry 4.0.
The report concludes that factory physical and statistical models simulate factory
operations to validate product fit and flow identify bottleneck and helping to identify
requirements as factories expand to rate production. It is recommended that Twin
value is to predict requirements for the factory and enable stable production even as
rates rise and disruptions impact the factory.

Keywords: Digital twins, Statistical models, Smart manufacturing

1. Introduction
The digital twin manufacturing of virtual physical fusion is the frontier and trend
of digital manufacturing development. At the manufacturing plant level, number of
twin specific application scenarios include twin workshop planning stage and
operation stage, the former's goal is to build a virtual workshop, simulate the
workshop production logistics process, scientific selection design production strategy
and logistics solutions, provide a basis for quantitative analysis in workshop layout
design or reconstruction, the latter's goal is to set up digital workshop and physical
workshop real-time interaction mechanism, Based on virtual workshop, it realizes
production plan preview evaluation, virtual transparent monitoring, logistics precise
scheduling and other functions, and provides certain feedback control to the physical
workshop. Some simulation software has been used for virtual factory modeling and
simulation analysis, and preliminary research and application results have been
obtained.
2. Methods & Results
This research was conducted by digital simulation model of workshop and
production process simulation rehearsal, contribute to the quantitative analysis of the
bogie the ability and efficiency indexes in production process, key factors affecting
3
the ability and efficiency, and targeted puts forward improvement scheme, so that the
production line layout and design of logistics more lean and efficient, Making
production strategy and production plan more scientific and optimized is an integral
part of the construction of smart factory of CRRC Sifang Corporation.
2.1 Mathematical formulation
At the beginning, Set up a factory and statistical model. That means we should
set up the high-speed train digital factory, to figure out the bottleneck and helping to
identify requirements as factories expand to rate production. Figure 1 shows a digital
model building and physical correction.

Figure 1 shows a digital model building and physical correction.

2.2 Computational domain
Figure 2 shows link the production factor of the process. .realize the whole flow
of welding, Manicheism ,assembly with DT. So we can value the predict requirements.
Range the real-time stream production computing by big data. Bogie production line
modeling. Modeling based on 1:1 authenticity principle, use the three-dimensional
modeling software such as CATIA, the production line of all kinds of resources
including plant, equipment, fixtures, tools, such as modeling, focus on the key
techniques for modeling and the rest from a logistics point of view can simplify the
modeling, due to large amount of data, need to deal with the related model of
lightweight, The existing digital twin model in simulation planning can be borrowed
to form the virtual digital workshop model of production line.

2.3 Governing policy
Figure 3 shows a make strategic policy based on DTS. After we find the answer ,
that would be easy to meet the requirement. Team leader and project manager can
make the final strategic decision.

3. Discussion
To study the influences of digital simulation parameters on workshop production
process, only one type of welding parameter was changed in each simulation. The
welding thermal cycle is another important factor that affects the workpiece heat
distribution. Differences between the calculated and experimental thermal cycles. The
numerical and experimental beams produced using a different part.
1)Design stage
In the field of industrial manufacturing, to complete the design modification and

5
size assembly of product components, it usually needs repeated attempts and
consumes a lot of manpower and material resources. Digital twinning can be used to
create virtual Spaces for industrial production. Under this technology, engineering
designers can not only see the changes on the outside of products, but also make it
possible to observe the dynamics of internal components.
2)Manufacturing stage
In manufacturing, the establishment of a virtual version of the production
environment, the digital way to describe the whole manufacturing environment,
equipment diagnosis, process simulation and other simulation prediction in the virtual
digital space, can effectively prevent the serious consequences of field failures and
production anomalies.
3)Maintenance stage
Digital twinning can also play an important role in the maintenance phase. As
mentioned earlier, the AIR Force introduced digital twinning to help better maintain
fighter jets. So for factory equipment and facilities, also can use digital twin
corresponding maintenance.
4. Conclusion
It can be seen from the results on digital simulation model of workshop
production process simulation rehearsal, contribute to the quantitative analysis of the
bogie in the process of production ability and efficiency index, key factors affecting
the ability and efficiency, and targeted puts forward improvement scheme, so that the
production line layout and design of logistics more lean and efficient, make
production strategy and establish more scientific and optimize the production plan .
5. Recommendations
It is recommended that digital simulation develops an official policy regarding
the motivate by more specific digital model. The policy should recommend:
• High precision proportional motion mechanism model,
• The whole process of digital link logic construction,
Finally, the policy needs to apply to whole design life in the company.
