1 PURPOSES

1.1. This procedure is prepared to provide storage and preservation of raw material and
ducting fabricated at Dwikappa Workshop. Instruction to be carried out the work
according to the stipulated requirements of the Carbon Adsorption Plant 2 (CAP)
Project.

2 SCOPE

2.1. This procedure entails the overall preservation requirements for the pre-fabricated and
fabricated raw materials.

2.2. The objective is to ensure that the preservation of fabricated materials is kept in good
condition throughout all phases of the project.

4 RESPONSIBILITY

4.1. Material supervisor is responsible for carrying out this procedure accordingly.

4.2. QAQC is responsible for implementing this procedure.

5 PROCEDURE

5.1 Material receiving inspection.

5.1.1. Once the materials accepted by QC, it is placed into storage. The QC shall inform
who shall be responsible for the preservation, placement and handling.

5.1.2 The material supervisor shall be responsible for the following:

5.1.2.1. To read and understand specific supplier recommendations for


storage and preservation prior to inspection.

5.1.2.2. Reporting damage or removal of preservation.

5.1.2.3. Provide specific material control, inventory, inspection and filling in


preservation labels.

5.2 Storage and Handling

5.2.1. Delivery Check

5.2.1.1 The materials, which is delivered to workshop, shall be, as far as


practical, checked within twenty-four (24) hours upon arrival. This is to
ensure the initial preservation is intact.
5.2.1.2 If initial examination reveals that materials has been damaged, QC shall
immediately notify vendor before proceeding with further processing of
the material. Materials shall be checked and inspected for physical,
water or humidity damage and for mixing extra items. DAU shall provide
Company with a detailed inspection report on each peach of tagged
equipment received and inspected on site, with overage, shortage and
damage report.

5.2.1.3. The instructions noted on the packing crates and the shipping document
shall be regarded as mandatory during handling and storage.

5.2.1.4. All materials shipped with protective covers or plugs over openings, and
with corrosion preventative coatings applied on exterior machined and
threaded surface, shall be treated as follows upon arrival at the work
site:

a. Protective covers, plugs and coatings shall be renewed if not intact.


b. If water or dirt has entered the equipment through broken, damaged
or improperly secured covers and plugs, the equipment shall be
cleaned before plugs and coatings are restored.

5.2.1.5 Any doubt as to the material preservation status shall be clarified with
the vendor/supplier and arrange for the vendor/supplier to attend at site
to verify the status and advise further actions if necessary.

5.2.2. Handling and Off-Loading

5.2.2.1 The off-loading and handling of the material shall be carried out in a
safe and careful manner. Special attention shall be given to fragile
material and adequate precautions taken to prevent damage during
the lifting and transportation.

5.2.2.2 Ducting raw materials shall be handled carefully during offload to


prevent any damage, and use proper tools and equipment’s.

5.2.3. Storage.

5.2.3.1 Project specific storage areas shall be dedicated and detailed on a


layout plan, showing the various marked on periodical basic by Project
Manager or his assignee.

5.2.3.2 Ducting raw materials are stainless steel ASTM A240 TP 316L which
is to be separated storage with carbon steel materials.

5.2.3.3 Rooms that are normally unmanned and locked shall be inspected on a
weekly basis to ensure that the materials are stored securely.

5.2.3.4 Ducting after fabricated will be temporary placed and then in parallel
deliver to site project.

5.2.3.5 Non-ferrous material must be segregated from ferrous material. Special


attention for storage of stainless steel/high nickel pipe fitting, flange, etc.
must be taken in to consideration. Segregation of these materials from
other carbon steel and no contact with raw unseasoned wood or iron
stiles shall take place.

5.2.4 General Protection

5.2.5.1 Adequate precautions shall be taken to protect the materials against


possible damage in connection with installation and construction works
in the vicinity of the item, i.e., wooden crates, frame with tarpaulin
cladding etc.
5.2.5. Shipped Loose items

5.2.6.1 Shipped loose items shall be carefully packed and crate in wooden
boxes, which shall be securely fastened to prevent damage during
shipment.

5.2.6.2 Shipped loose items to be tagged, itemized and registered in "shipped


loose item register". this is to ensure traceability.

5.3 Preservation requirements

5.3.1 Minimum Requirements.

5.3.1.1 The following minimum requirements shall form the standards to


restore equipment to an acceptable level of initial preservation.

5.3.1.2. Environmental Conditions

The environmental conditions to be protected against shall include


variation in temperature, wind, humidity, and rain water. Consideration
shall be given to the possibility that temperature encountered during
transport may reach extremes other than those prevailing at supplier's
works or fabrication site.

5.3.1.3. External Protection

a. External protection shall prevent damage from dropped construction


objects, sandblasting, grinding, welding, flame cutting, step on by
personnel, water, water jetting, etc.

b. Mechanism shall be constrained from harmful movement. Requirements


for removal of such constraint shall be posted in a conspicuous manner
and clearly marked for removal (as for temporary support). Delicate
mechanisms shall be protected against impact by local shock absorbing
packing or bracing.

5.6 Periodic Examination and Preservation

5.8.1. DAU shall be responsible for periodic examination and preservation of all
materials. If during this examination any materials found to be damaged,
