I. INTRODUCTION
Life of a teacher is bounded by his duties and responsibilities. It is either

under written memorandum and or within the initiative of the teacher to perform. I believe,
being a teacher is impossible without any objectives patterned from any philosophical idealism.
To measure the effectiveness and efficiency as well as the competence of a teacher is to
understand his own personal and professional beliefs, routines, practices and by evaluating his
products- the learners and their life after his supervision .
Teaching sought teachers to be a good model. What he shows and preaches as a

teacher is what the learners likely believe to be right and true. Hence, most if not all of the
philosophical ideas and practices are transcended to the learners. With that, is a challenge for
all the teachers to perform their roles to the best of their abilities. He must aspire for his
learners to become a better person and on the other hand to inspire them to enjoy learning,
find their own passion and to find what life really means to them.
The students must see clearly the aims of their teachers for them and must
obtain the significance of these to their lives and gratify the essence of the philosophical ideas
and create their own philosophies in life . the philosophies that enable them to be what they
want to be. The philosophies that will teach, enlighten and guide the future generations.

A. PUPIL DEVELOPMENT
 Enrolled pupils in Grade I.

 Accomplish School Form 1, 2 and 3.
 Conducted remedial teaching in reading and writing to slow learners.
Give summative tests.
B. STAFF DEVELOPMENT:

Narrative Report on Home Visitation

I. Introduction
Home visit leads to respectful partnership between parents and educators,
creating the foundation for understanding and cooperation between home and
school that is vital to ever pupils success.

Let’s face the fact that good parents do not always produce good children,
but devoted, dedicated, hardworking parents can weigh the balance in favor of
decency and the building of moral, social, emotional and spiritual character.
II. Implementation/Activities/Observation
We teachers conducted home visit. Sometimes happen four times in a year
especially when the problem arises, in this task of teachers having heavy burdens on
our job both in the school and home wherein we teachers and parents have some
talk to have an agreement about the solution on the pupil’s problem.
III. Summary/ Conclusion/Recommendation

Most school still rely on outdated strategy because to bring parents and
teachers together for a meaningful conversation outside teacher and family member
shares hopes and dreams, expectations, experiences and tools regarding the child’s
academic success. Once trust is built a partnership is formed and then they are
empowered to make the necessary changes for a pupil to succeed.

DOCUMENTATIONN

I talked to these parents about the lacking documents they failed

to submit which are very useful in updating their record in the
LIS
I visited these pupils because of frequent absenteeism in class

and to monitor if their parents really supervised them in their
studies especially in reading

I visited these pupils because of absenteeism that affects their

performance in school. They got very low in the test and difficult to
catch-up with the lessons.

Narrative Report on Remedial Reading

Grade I-Rosal

Reading is a key that unlocks the door to the other worlds of enlightenment and
enjoyment.it is the basic tool for learning in the content field. Reading indeed is an
important skill a pupil should develop. A child who reads is a child who knows. This skill
helps children in attaining other skills. Without the ability to read, children will have hard
time dealing with other things.
As a Grade I teacher, one of our main concerns is the reading ability of our pupils.
It is evident, not only in our school but most of the schools, the problem teachers
encounter in terms of reading capability of pupils. As much as we wanted to teach only
reading, we are following certain competencies DEpEd has given. Such competencies
hinder us from focusing children to teach how to read.
Sillawit Elementary school launched PROJECT MELAR to those pupils evaluated

as non-reader readers and slow readers. Each grade level assessed their pupils, in grade
one we used the EGRA ARATA. After the assessment test I grouped the according to
their reading levels. The pupils who belongs to non-reader and slow reader were given
reading enhancement activities, prior to that I talked to their parents and let them signed
the agreement between parents and teachers on the activities that will be taken during the
remedial program.
In connection with this, the following activities were also observed, there were
pupils who served as mentors to those non-readers, pupils also given reading materials to
be read when they at home. Intensified remedial reading was done .
