TASK 1

The given bar chart illustrates the percentage of coffee and tea purchasing and consuming in last 4
weeks of local resident in five Australian cities, namely Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and
Hobart.

In general, it is obvious that the majority of people in other four cities prefer going to café than buying
fresh or instant coffee except Adelaide.

In terms of Melbourne and Hobart, the percentage of going to a café is almost the same at the rate of
around 65% but Melbourne being slightly higher than Hobart. At the moment, nearly 48% of citizens in
Melbourne and just below 55% of citizens in Hobart had a habit of buying instant coffee. Meanwhile the
proportions of buying fresh coffee in those two cities were 42% and 38% respectively.

In the case of other cities, Sydney has the biggest rate of people going to café, at just above 60%,
comparing to that of Brisbane and Adelaide, of which were at, 56% and 49% sequentially. For buying
fresh coffee, Sydney still had the larger portion than the two other cities at just below 45%. Moving to
the case of buying instant coffee, Adelaide had the greater portion than the two other cities at the rate
of exact 50%.

To conclude, it is noticeable that the percentage of buying instant coffee was always higher than that of
buying fresh coffee in every city.

TASK 2

Since the cities and towns tended to grow and develop a lot lately, the accommodation has become the
important part of living for human beings. In many countries, I suppose that it is more important to rent
an apartment than owning a real-estate property. In my opinion, this is a positive trend which will help
you in the future.

Firstly, buying a residence will cause a big impact on the economy of a person. As buying a residence
require a large amount of money, if one can’t afford to buy, he will have to get a loan from a bank, and
then it will end up losing more money for the duration of the period than renting. For instance, renting is
a monthly fee and one will even save extra money that is left by paying the rent fee with his salary. So
buying a house in instant requires a large amount of money initially which is not always easy for
everyone.

Secondly, renting can be stopped anytime when you get bored of living in the same place for a long
time. For instance, if one feels not liking the environment of the apartment he just rent, he could just
stay for a short period and call off the rent. Then he can find another place where he is more willing to
live or the environment can give a better atmosphere for him. If something like this happens, the ones
who bought a house will just have to suffer from the bad atmosphere of the environment for a long
time.

In conclusion, I believe that renting an apartment is much better than owning a home in both economic
and environmental cases.
