ii. Ideally it should be a box
with some holes in it.

the ages of 2 and 6 years

enviromental i. It should not be harmful for
the enviroment.
ii. It’s materials should be
reusable or recyclable.
size i. Not bigger that 30cm x
30cm x 30cm.
ii. Not smaller than 10cm x
10cm x 10cm.
Explain and justify why did
you define such design
specification
i. This because kids are very
susceptible to Color’s and
specially atractive ones, like
red and yellow, which for
people atract and specially
kids prefer objects and in
this case a toy with atractive
Color’s, which mostly are
vivid Color’s.
ii. This because the purpose
of the toy is to insert some
pieces trough its
corresponding holes, and a
box shape is easier to make
and also to manipulate by
kids.
i. This is the range of age I
would recommend for kids
to use my toy. This is
because younger than 2
would be to small to
understand the purpose of
the game and older than 6
would be too old for the kid
to entertain with the toy.
i. This is a very important
aspect, because we should
contribute to the enviroment
and don’t harming it any
more.
ii. It would be very good for
us and the enviroment if
when thrown away the toy
materials can be reused or
recycled this way we help to
figth climate change and
contamination.
i. This is the limit max size
for the toy, principally
because any bigger it would
be very difficult to carry
around and also small kids
would have a hard time
moving it around. Even the

safety i. It should not be dangerous
for the kids.
ii. Materials used can’t be
flammable.
performance i. It should be resistant to
brutal force (by a kid).
ii. All pieces should pass
correctly trough the holes.
material i. Ideally wood (box and
pieces)
father may not choose to
buy the toy if it’s
bigger,because it would be
more difficult to transport.
ii. Smaller than this
dimensions would make the
pieces to small and not very
interactive, also small kids
are developing there fine
motor skills and putting a
very small toy would not be
good for them because they
won’t be able to use it.
i. This is the most important
factor, because it should be
save to use, this way any
kid is harmed and father
would buy the toy.
ii. This is important because
kids may play with this toy
everywhere and some
places may have dangerous
places and if the toy is
flammable it would be very
risky to use not only for the
kid, but to every one around
it.
i. Kids are not very careful
and sometimes may drop
the toy or even get on top of
it or play hard with it, so for
the durability of the product
it should be resistant to this
types of things, even good if
it’s resistant to water.
ii. For the well function of
the product the pieces of the
toy must pass well trough
their corresponding holes.
i. Wood is a very resistant
and light material, also easy
to handle and it would be
very good material for
making a box.
