1 write in response to the referenced FOIA that was received in our office on
August 11, 2022. This is intended to be a full and final response to your request.
The Honorable Carrie Webster, Judge of the Circuit Court of Kanawha County,
sealed the Court file regarding this matter which prevents us from providing you with
the records you requested. We sought and were granted permission to provide only
the total settlement amount without referencing any of the minors involved or how
much each received. We have been permitted to report that the referenced cases were
settled for a total of five million dollars ($5,000,000.00).
