Materials:
You will need 100 yards of white worsted weight yarn, 3.00 mm
crochet hook, 2.00 mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, stitch
marker, scissors, pink embroidery floss, poly-fill for stuffing, and 12
mm safety eyes.

Let’s talk yarn!

I used 100 yards of Red Heart Super Saver in the color white. You can
use any color or brand of worsted weight yarn you would like!
Final Measurements:
Your finished bat will measure 4 ½ inches tall and 5 inches wide

Gauge:
4 sts by 5 rows = 1 inch with a 3.00 mm crochet hook and worsted
weight yarn. Gauge is not extremely important for this pattern.
You just want to keep even tension and crochet tight enough
that stuffing does not poke through the holes.

Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
Sc: single crochet
Blo: back loop only
Sc inc: single crochet increase
Sc dec: single crochet decrease

Notes:
This would be considered an intermediate pattern. Sewing skills
and patience are required! This pattern is written in US crochet
terminology. Most of this pattern is worked in continuous rounds so
you will need to use a stitch marker. This is a lengthy pattern so I will
be including a notes section before each new task. Yarn and hook
information will be included before each new task. Happy
hooking!
Other important Information!
When making amigurumi I suggest using the invisible
increase/decrease method. There are a ton of YouTube tutorials
on this but basically you increase/decrease as you normally would
but in the front loops only. This ensures that there won’t be any
bumps or gaps in your finished amigurumi project! Please note that
the rest of your project will be worked through both loops! You will
only be working in the front loops when you increase/decrease!

Assembly!
First you will sew the body onto the head. Use sewing pins to hold it
in place as you sew. Take your time. I know sewing amigurumi can
be frustrating, but I know you can do it! See images below!

Next it is time to sew the ears onto the head. Use sewing pins to
hold them in place as you sew. Make sure your ears are not
lopsided! Break yarn and weave in any ends you may have
remaining! See images below!
Now it is time to sew the arms into place on the body! Use sewing
pins to hold everything in place as you sew. You want to make the
wings curve in a C shape as you pin them into place against the
body that way they will fit onto the body. Make sure to take your
time when sewing so that your project comes out as desired. Break
yarn and weave in any ends you may have remaining. See images
below!

Now all that is left to do is sew the feet onto the bottom near the
bottom of the wings on each side. Use sewing pins to hold the feet
in place as you sew. Break yarn and weave in any final ends you
may have. Make sure you have removed all the sewing pins from
your project. Your bat amigurumi is now complete! See image
below!
Important tips!

Always exercise adult supervision when using safety eyes on a

project. You can use felt or embroidered eyes! Because of the
delicate wings and safety eyes I suggest spot cleaning your finished
amigurumi!
