This second revision has been harmonized with ISO 4401 : 2005 by adoption to make pace with the latest developments that have taken place at international level. The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminology and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following: a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’ b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker. In this adopted standard, reference appears to certain International Standards for which Indian Standards also exist. The corresponding Indian Standards, which are to be substituted in their respective places, are listed below along with their degree of equivalence for the editions indicated: International Standard ISO 286-2 : 1988" ISO system of limits and fits — Part 2: Tables of standard tolerances grades and limit deviations for holes and shafts 180.4287 : 1997 Geometrical Product, Specifications (@PS) — Surface texture: Profile method — Terms, definitions and surface texture parameters ISO 5598:1985% Fluid power systems and components — Vocabulary Corresponding Indian Standard IS 919 (Part 2) : 1993 ISO system of limits and fits: Part 2 Tables of standard tolerances grades and limit deviations for holes and shatts (first revision) 1S 1262 : 2002 Geometrical product specifications (PS) — Surface texture: Profile method — Terms, definitions and surface texture parameters 1S 10416 : 1992 Fluid power systems and components — Vocabulary (first revision) Degree of Equivalence Identical The technical committee has reviewed the provisions of the following International Standards referred in this adopted standard and has decided that they are acceptable for use in conjunction with this standard: International Standard 1$0.1101 : 2004 Title Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) — Geometrical tolerancing — Tolerances of form, orientation, location and run-out ISO 1302 : 2002 in technical product documentation ISO 5783: 1995 and cartridge valve cavities "Ginee revised in 2010. since revised in 2008, Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) — Indication of surface texture Hydraulic fluid power — Code for identification of valve mounting surfaces (Continued on third cover) ‘SUPPLIED BY BOOK SUPPLY BUREAY UNDER THE LICENSE FROM BIS FOR INDIANINSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - MUVIBAI ON 2903/2022 11152 24 [103.24 125 84) VALID LPTOSi/12/2022 OOK SUPPLY BUREAU UNDER THE LICENSE FROM BIS FOR INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - MUMBAI ON 201032022 11:52:34 (108.21.125.84) VALID IS 10187 : 2013 ISO 4401 : 2005 Indian Standard HYDRAULIC FLUID POWER — FOUR-PORT DIRECTIONAL CONTROL VALVES — 3 MOUNTING SURFACES 3 ( Second Revision ) 5 1 Scope This International Standard specifies the dimensions and other data relating to surfaces on which four-port hydraulic directional control valves are mounted in order to ensure their interchangeabilty 3 It applies to mounting surfaces for four-port hydraulic directional control valves which represent current practice. The dimension is also the minimum distance from centreline to certraline of two identical mounting surfaces placed on @ manifold block The attention of valve manufacturers is drawn to the fact that no part ofthe width of the complete valve assembly Is to exceed this dimension Figure 9 — Mounting surface for four-port hydraulic directional control valves with pilot ports and with 32 mm maximum port diameter, with or without drain ports 14 2:34 (103.21.125.84) VALID LPT 21.126 84) VAL Pa IE OF TECHNOLOGY - 2 z Zz 2 UNDER THE 5 & £ & ‘SUPPL OOK SUPPLY BUREAU UNDER THE LICENSE FROM BIS FOR INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - MUMBAI ON 201032022 11:52:34 (108.21.125.84) VALID IS 10187 : 2013 ISO 4401 : 2005 Table 9 — Mounting surface for four-port hydraulic directional control valves with pilot ports and with 32 mm maximum port diameter, with or without drain ports Dimensions in milimetres 5 Platt el [el] x] vy [offer] ||| fa] fs] Fs Axis 532 | a32 | 232 | 232 [e112|e tale 112| 278] 27.8] M20 | mao | ma20 | mao | 1420 | w20 x [143] eas [413 [ta7s[ 0 | 413 [1831386] ats] 0 [1905[1905] 0 | 762 [1143 y_ | 36 [1238] 36 [1238[ 794 | 1302] a45 | 0 [1588] 0 | 0 |rseelisee| 0 [1588 NOTE Operating pressure imtations for subplates and manioid blocks with these mounting surfaces are speciied by the] 3 manufacturer 3.21 125) VAL = Drain port is optional > Blind holes made in the mounting surfaces to accommodate the locating pins onthe valves their minimum dopth is 8 mm, Pa IE OF TECHNOLOGY - 2 z Zz 2 UNDER THE 5 & £ & ‘SUPPL 15 OOK SUPPLY BUREAU UNDER THE LICENSE FROM BIS FOR INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - MUMBAI ON 201032022 11:52:34 (108.21.125.84) VALID Is 10187 : 2013 ISO 4401 : 2005 Bibliography [1] 180 128, Technical drawings — Dimensioning — General principles, definitions, methods of execution and special indications [2] 180 286-1, ISO system of limits and fits — Part 1: Bases of tolerances, deviations and fits [3] 180 965-1, 1SO general-purpose metric screw threads — Tolerances — Part 1: Principles and basic data 3 é 3 g 3 JR INDIAN INSTITUTE OF Bg DOK SUPPLY BUREAU UNDER THE ‘SUPPLIED BY B¢ 16 OOK SUPPLY BUREAU UNDER THE LICENSE FROM BIS FOR INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - MUMBAI ON 2900 12022 11:52:34 (103.21.125.84) VALID (Continued trom second cover) For the purpose of deciding whether a particular requirement of this standard is complied with, the {inal value, observed or calculated, expressing the result of a test or analysis, shall be rounded off in accordance with IS 2 : 1960 ‘Rules for rounding off numerical values (revised)’.
