SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 7

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards. The learner demonstrates understanding of:
contemporary Philippine literature as a means of responding to the
demands of the global village; various extended text types; lexical and
contextual cues; appropriate and polite oral language, stance, and
behavior; and use of imperatives, prepositions, verbs, and wh-questions.
B. Performance Standards
The learner transfers learning by: explaining the need to be cooperative
and responsible in today’s global village; using appropriate strategies to
comprehend extended text types; using lexical and contextual clues to
understand unfamiliar words and expressions; using imperatives,
prepositions, and appropriate and polite oral language, stance and
behavior in various information-sharing formats.
C. Learning Competencies
1. Discover through Philippine literature the need to work cooperatively
and responsibly in today’s global village.

PICK AND EXPLAIN THE WORD
The teacher will provide a chart and let the students pick a word and
explain it to the class.

The teacher will present and discuss the topic about the
“Relating Past to the Present”

 How important is your past experiences affect your present life?
 Did your past experience give a lesson?
E. Application
RECONNECTION. Pair up and look closely at the pictures.
The teacher will let the students describe the pictures on the first
column and how they differ from the pictures on the second column.

V. EVALUATION
Directions: draw a Earth and divide the Earth into two parts.
On the left side, write two to three (2-3) things you knew that belong to the
past.
On the right side, write two to three (2-3) things that are present nowadays.

VI. ASSIGNMENT
Directions : Make a summary of your life.
From Elementary days up to High School summarize how your past
experiences challenge you to become a better person today.
