MOMENTUM
 EQUATIONS:
 Defined as “mass in motion”.
 Refers to the amount of motion Momentum = mass x velocity
that an object has. (p = mv / m v) Equation 11.2.1
 Depends on an object’s mass Unit for momentum = kg.m/s
and velocity; therefore,
Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion:
 It is the product of mass and
velocity. Fnet = ma Equation 11.2.2

 The amount of change in an Impulse-momentum theory:
