What will be your primary challenge as a HyFlex teacher in creating SLE and USLE

and how do you intend to address it?

We used the SLE before pandemic. It is the typical classroom setting wherein we are
setting classroom rules; somehow it is applied during modular distance learning when the teacher
is providing instructions to the students. This is the time where the teacher makes sure that the
student will accomplish what he/she opt to do. On the other hand, we used the USLE in distance
and modular learning. This is the unguided part of learning and at the same time this is
application of what they have learned. In this way we let the student explore and learn more in
their own way.

As a HyFlex teacher I think the primary challenge in creating SLE and USLE is how to
balance the SLE and USLE with regards to the learners’ availability of learning modality and the
learners’ interest in learning. What if the student is not available on site, or vice versa? Aside
from the fact that learners are diverse and they have different learning styles for me balancing the
activities will be the primary challenge. Therefore as a HyFlex teacher I have to become versatile
and adaptive to whatever situations I may encounter. I have to keep my students motivated. I
must be prepared with every possibility. Lastly, I have to maximize each activity that will be
available for my students. I have to design lessons that will be accessible to all learners in the
manner of SLE and USLE. I have to make sure that they will learn what I want them to learn and
let them appreciate and apply what they have learn in real life situation.
