What are the benefits and

importance of sewing in your life as a student? (20points)

For me, learning to sew is important because it would be awkward to even ask a
seamstress to help with a little rip in one of my clothes, like a pair of jeans or a shirt, only
to patch the problem. Additionally, sewing is important to me as a student since, in the
first place, it might be beneficial for my own wellbeing. With the ability to sew, I may be
able to create pleasing and lovely items that I will be proud to own. This will boost my
mental and emotional health as well as my self-confidence. Another benefit is that I
can avoid spending money by making gifts for my loved ones that are perfect for
special occasions. Since I can make these gifts instead of shopping for them in stores, I
can also save money in this way. Last but not least, sewing can be good for the
environment because it would enable me to reuse damaged or extra materials found
in our home rather than tossing them and transforming them into something else that
would be beneficial, such as tablecloths.

2. If you can sew what will you make? Illustrate, describe and explain. (20points)

I'll make a dress for myself if I can sew. It is a garment that is constructed of
lightweight cotton fabric and extends above the knee. I decided on a white fabric
since it seems fresh and cozy. In addition, cotton is a fabric type that is safe for the skin,
resilient, and absorbent. I'll be able to unwind while wearing it.

I enjoy seeing others wearing dresses because they make them look more lovely,
and I adore wearing dresses myself. Additionally, I feel at ease donning even basic
gowns, which are appropriate for attending events like birthdays, weddings, Christmas
eve, and even going to the beach. Wearing those also boosts my self-confidence and
encourages me to engage in more social activities. I'll also feel proud sewing various
patterns of casual clothes because I made them myself. Similarly, I am capable of
making clothes according to the designs I prefer, and you can be confident that they
will be well-made and fit the wearer.
