1. Why is recycling very important and beneficial to you and your community?

(10points)

Recycling involves gathering and processing items that would otherwise be discarded as
trash in order to create new products that serve new purposes. Recycling can help me
personally because it challenges me to think creatively and ingeniously about how to turn
something that would otherwise be thrown away into something beautiful or useful. In this way, it
enables me to save money as well, as I no longer have to purchase a brand-new item from a
store if I can create it myself out of sheer work and creativity.
Regarding recycling's overall effect, it is crucial and shows to be significant, for example
in the context of a community. The first benefit that comes to mind is that it can help with the
discussion of natural resources because, when you think about it this way, the ability to reuse
paper materials results in fewer trees being cut down in exchange. The same is true for other
materials that are made from natural resources. Recycling also prevents waste from going to the
landfill since it allows us to reprocess materials and turn them into new products, which would
otherwise go to the garbage. Most importantly, recycling reduces carbon emissions because it
requires less energy because it is primarily done manually, lowering emissions and our carbon
footprint, both of which are factors in climate change.

2. Make a project and a flow chart on how you can produce a usable product from the

A DIY Piggy Bank Using a Bottle

4. Add any desired design.

3. How do you recycle your old clothes? (10points)

Like everyone else, I assume, I pass down to my younger siblings or cousins the clothes
that I no longer fit but are still in good condition. In other cases, some of my clothing ends up in
donation drives to be distributed to people who were affected by calamities or disasters. My
other garments, which are no longer in an ideal and desirable state due to color fading or small
tears, are made into rags that are used around the house for cleaning various materials and
surfaces as well as drying some kitchenware. Since I also sell things online, I sometimes post
some of my gently worn clothes for sale online in order to supplement my daily allowance and
savings.
