Since there’s technically no middleman, artists may get a higher cut of the profits.
But for every dollar earned, there’s a significant amount of elbow grease (and up-
front investment) that goes into splitting a gallery between a group.

o Non-profit gallery: Just like the business world is full of for-profit and non-profit
organizations, so is the art world. Non-profits receive their funding from grants
and donations, and the commissions are typically much lower than you’d find in
the commercial world. The upside? These organizations can accept artists based on
sheer merit rather than clout.

o Vanity gallery: Vanity galleries charge artists a fee to show their work, thus deriving their
primary income from this “rental” fee rather than commissions on pieces. These galleries
may charge for their entire space for a period of time, or offer artists a wall for a set price
for a period of time. While it’s an avenue for new artists to get their name out into the
world, vanity galleries are rarely (if ever) as reputable as commercial galleries or co-ops.

represents around 50% of each lot, where it is possible to build:
➢ Structures used for plants ensuring soil permeability (e.g. trellises, pergolas,
garden structures, planters).
➢ Landscaping structure (e.g. structures used to retain soil or other materials,
pools, exhibition structures, art works).

• WINDOWS AND DOORS :

➢ Windows and doors should be of suitable size for lighting the rooms.
➢ Strong and able to be securely closed.
➢ Non conductive of heat and dust from outside.
➢ There should be no doors inside the exhibition except where a part of the building
requires to permanently cut-off for functional reasons.
➢ Floor plans for the location of doors in relation to the use of space .

• COVERED EXHIBITION SPACE DESIGN PARAMETERS: Covered Exhibition

➢ Overhead lighting allows greater diversity of space / shape .
➢ Lateral lighting gives rise to swallow rooms.

level.

• EXHIBITION ITEMS :

➢ Items in exhibitions must be visually accessible to people.

➢ A male adult who uses a wheelchair has an average eye level of between 1090mm (1.09 m) and

the centre for dishes and tureens is sometime desirable , an overall width of .8 – .85 m is suitable
for a dining table .

BENGALURU, KARANATAKA
On November 2, 2021, I went to the National Gallery of Modern Arts (NGMA) in
Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru. I got down at Mount Carmel and started walking from
there on the Palace road, on my way to the gallery I came across a very famous hotel
Shangri La, walking straight from the hotel, after walking 350m I reached my
destination that was the gallery. The gallery opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM
and is closed on Monday and National holidays.

The property spans 3.5 acres. It was originally owned by a mining baron, Raja
