RACE Fuse Block Wiring Details
Flying leads from the fuse block include:
- FAN 1 +12V signal wire. Capable of 30A loads
- FAN 2 +12V signal wire. Capable of 30A loads
- Fuel Pump +12V signal wire. Capable of 30A loads
- AUX Relay +12V signal wire. Designated by the user –
can be used to drive any components with a +12V
signal. Capable of 20A loads.

Connect the power wire with ring terminal to Battery +12V.

Make sure to provide a connection capable of
supporting current demands of the entire fuse block
(Two fans, fuel pump, Ignition and AUX relay of your
choice. This may exceed 100 AMPs in draw). Please use
proper power distribution connections – distribution block
or power stud.
RACE Fuse Block Wiring Details V1
IGNITION relay terminations:
86 – Ground. BLACK. Chassis Ground side of the relay coil.
85 – Ignition signal from Chassis, BLACK/RED. MUST be connected to an UNINTERRUPTED 12V source in
Ignition START and RUN condition.
30 – Fused battery power feed, RED , fused through 20A fuse.
87 – Ignition BLACK/RED 14AWG wire – switched power to the harness. Powers coils, injectors, sensors, ECU
power. Also energizes other 4 relays – to only be operable with IGN turned ON.

FAN 1 relay terminations:

86 – Fan 1 Trigger signal from ECU or switch. GREEN. Must be LOW_SIDE (Ground) to energize the relay. NOTE
Fan1 and fan 2 trigger wires are merged by default (fans will turn on at the same time).
Fan 1 85 – Ignition signal from Ignition Relay - BLACK/RED.
30 – Fused battery power feed, RED , fused through 30A fuse.
87 – FAN 1 RED 12AWG wire – 12V signal directly to the FAN+ connection.

FAN 2 relay terminations:

86 – Fan 2 Trigger signal from ECU or switch. BLUE. Must be LOW_SIDE (Ground) to energize the relay. NOTE Fan1
Fan 2 and fan 2 trigger wires are merged by default (fans will turn on at the same time).
85 – Ignition signal from Ignition Relay - BLACK/RED.
30 – Fused battery power feed, RED , fused through 30A fuse.
87 – FAN 2 RED 12AWG wire – 12V signal directly to the FAN+ connection.

Fuel Pump relay terminations:

86 – Fuel Pump Trigger signal from ECU or switch. PURPLE. Must be LOW_SIDE (Ground) to energize the relay.
Fuel Pump 85 – Ignition signal from Ignition Relay - BLACK/RED.
30 – Fused battery power feed, RED , fused through 30A fuse.
87 – FAN 1 RED 12AWG wire – 12V signal directly to the FAN+ connection.

AUX relay terminations:

86 –Relay Trigger signal from ECU or switch. GREEN/YELLOW. Must be LOW_SIDE (Ground) to energize the relay.
AUX 85 – Ignition signal from Ignition Relay - BLACK/RED.
30 – Fused battery power feed, RED , fused through 30A fuse.
87 – AUX RED 12AWG wire – 12V signal directly to the device (user chosen).

Ignition signal wire – can be
connected to steering column or
switch/Button. MUST be connected
to an UNINTERRUPTED 12V
source in START and RUN
condition.

The Flying leads available in this

interface connector provide a
connection into the MAIN engine
harness. The function and signal type
are outlined in the next page.

NOTE: The GREEN/YELLOW or

Blue/White wire in this flying lead
batch is a trigger wire for the
AUX/AirCon relay. The Relay
requires a Low_Side (ground)
signal to engage (turn ON).
18-Pin Harness Interface Connector Pinout
NOTE: This is the older version of the Interface Connector with 18 pins.
See next page for the 32-pin new version.

NOTE: Hold the connector so the

wires are coming out towards you

1 – Alternator Charge Light (White/Red) – Some A - IGNITION SWITCHED POWER (RED) 14AWG – Supplied from the IGN Relay
2 – NOT USED B – NOT USED
3 – FAN TRIGGER (BLUE/RED) – Connected to both FAN Relays C – NOT USED
4 – Speed Sensor (non Toyota) (BLUE) D – FUEL PUMP TRIGGER (Connected to FP Relay)
5 – NOT USED E – SPEED SIGNAL (ALL) (YELLOW/GREEN)
6 – Check Engine Light (CEL) (ORANGE/BLACK) F – NOT USED
7 – Reverse (GREEN) G – NOT USED
8 – Reverse (GREEN/WHITE) H – START SIGNAL (BLACK) 12 AWG
9 – NOT USED
10 – Tachometer (YELLOW/RED)

• Starter signal (INPUT)– connect to start button or the START position on the key and requires +12V to crank starter.
• CEL – Ground signal for Fault ON from ECU
• Speed signal output “4” and “E” are raw signals from the speed sensor (varies by application)
• Reverse wires – lead to the two position reverse switch on the transmission
• Alternator Charge – must be connected to a charge bulb or 470 ohm resistor (most Nissan and GM alternators will NOT
function properly without the charge light hooked up.
