Effect of Formaldehyde and Methanol mixture against feed grain
pathogen Salmonella Sp.
(Disc diffusion method)
100 ml Nutrient Agar media is prepared and sterilized by heating
at 100◦c temperature for 20 mints. Prepared and heated media is cooled at room temperature and poured into 5 petriplate and allow to solidify inside the Biosafety cabinet. Disc of whatsman filter papers are incorporated with 0.01%, 0.02%, 0.03%, 0.05% and 0.1% concentration of formaldehyde and methanol mixture. Previously cultured Salmonella sp were spread by spreader over the 5 petriplates, and Disc are placed on the surface of the Agar media. After 24 hr of incubation at 37◦C result can be concluded.
