I expect students to:

❖ be ready to learn when they arrive at school.


❖ participate and be actively engaged during lessons.
❖ ask questions if they do not understand something or
ask for extra help.
❖ complete nightly homework and return to class.
1. Follow directions the first time.
2. Raise your hand and wait to be called.
3. Be kind in your words and your actions.
4. Respect others and their belongings.
5. Be prepared for class every day.
Birthdays: Students are allowed to celebrate
birthdays in the classroom, (this is optional).

Dress Code: Please review the dress code in the


Family handbook provided by Mrs. Salamon. It will
be strictly enforced this year by all faculty.

Snacks: Please ensure that your child has a water


bottle and a snack each day
Students will individually pack
up, check mail box, and return
to desk, until dismissal. Order
of dismissal is busses, car
riders, and aftercare.
3rd grade through 8th grade

Students will have daily
homework. Homework will be
posted on our classroom website
which can be accessed on
GradeLock. Students in class will
copy homework in planner.
St. VIncent de Paul uses the
Curriculum from the Diocese
of Cleveland which is based
on the Ohio Learning
Standards with a few
modifications to include
Religion.
Students will work with Journeys, our
reading series,and novel studies. We will
do various reading comprehension,
vocabulary, whole groups, small groups,
and independent activities.

reading will be supported through IXL and
ReadWorks.
We will focus on grammar,
spelling, various types of
writing, listening and
speaking skills, and
handwriting.
