INTRODUCTION OF
CC BANK

PROFILE OF THE BANK:

The Bank was registered on 10.07.1930 and commenced its


Banking Business on the same day. Besides the Head Office the
Bank is functioning with a network of 65 Branches in and around
of Chennai Metropolitan. Eight of its Branches are housed in own
premises.

STATUS OF BANK:
The Chennai central Cooperative Bank, previously known as
The Madras District Cooperative Central Bank Ltd., was registered
as a Cooperative Society on 10.07.1930 and commenced its
business on the same day. The area of operation of the Bank
extends to the Corporation Limits of Chennai. As a District Central
Cooperative Bank, it caters to the needs of the Primary
Cooperative Societies and Cooperative Wholesale Stores and other
Cooperatives in Chennai city

At the commencement, the business of the Bank was confined


to a few lakhs of rupees. With the able administration of the then
President

DR. P. NATESAN, M.B.B.S., popularly known as the Father of


Cooperation the business of the Bank expanded to new heights.
Whenever the elected Board was not in Office, the Special

Officers, who are Officers from the Cooperative Department on
deputation, took charge of the management of Bank. From the year
2001, the Bank is continuously managed by the Special Officers.
To ease the burden of the common public, from the clutches of the
Pawn brokers, the Bank has started issuing jewel loans to the
individuals from the year 1976, which is now has attained a
multifold growth. In the year 1980, the Bank was granted license
under Section 22 of Banking Regulation Act of 1949 to do banking
business.

It is the Chennai Central Cooperative Bank, with its long


sighted vision, mooted the concept of Banking at Doorsteps by
launching its Mobile Branch in the year 1979. The mobile Branch
visited the areas in the City, where banking facilities were not
available and provided Banking services to the public in that area.
Now the Bank has 65 Branches, one mobile unit and its Head
Office located at PRAKASAM SALAI

The CHENNAI CENTRAL COOPERATIVE BANK has a various
operation of providing loans and deposits which formed a major source
of funds for the bank.

FORMALITIES FOR OPENING AN ACCOUNT:


 Application form.
 Introduction.
 Photo copies (three).
 Proof of identity:
 PAN card,
 Passport,
 Driving license,
 Election voters card (EPIC).
 Proof of address:
 Utility bills,
 Property / municipal tax receipt,
 Bank account / post office savings bank account
statement.

 For institutions: RS. 2,000 /-

A branch, banking centre or financial centre is
a retail location where a bank, credit union, or other financial
institution (and by extension, brokerage firms) offers a wide
array of face-to-face and automated services to its customers.

These are typically branches located in a retail space such as


a grocery, shopping malls or discount store. They may be full
service branches or limited service branches. They generally do
not include drive-through teller windows or safe deposit boxes.
These branches may have limited staff and typically include
technology as a means to deliver banking services such as the
use of Automated Teller Machines, Videoconferencing,

FILING PROCESS

METHOD OF FILLING IN CC BANK:
There are two method of filling system following in
CC bank they are listed below:
 Filling by Chronological.
 Filling in Alphabetical order.

These ways of filling is called classification and means organizing


things that ate alike, together. You can, however, combine some of
these methods. For examples, files that are kept together according to
what they are about we say are subject filling but, inside each file the
documents could be filed according to date order.
In CC BANK they follow the two method of filling such, as per
subject and Alphabetical order. Though CC BANK is a banking sector
they need to record and filling every individual account holder, so they
manage to filling in subject and category wise like fixed deposits holder,
saving deposit holder recurring and current holder and maintain an
individual record for every account transaction.
They also following Alphabetical order of filling documents, this
method is for holder who have providing locker facilities with deposits.
For them they store their information in an alphabetical order starts from
the name wise. It also contain the full detail of the account holder also
their information also their information and kept in an office file and
stored in filling section.

MY EXPERIENCE

Chennai Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd provided me an
opportunity to perform the internship training for a period of a month.
This training helped me to gain more practical knowledge and excell in
the knowledge of organization behaviour i.e.
 How to be punctual during the working hours
 How to maintain the decorum inside the bank
 How to have an effective communication with the peer member
 How to conduct ourselves matured before our superiors

Internship training has given me a first-hand experience at the
difference between classroom learning and the application of the same
knowledge, in real life. It has acquainted me with the workings of the
corporate world, and has taught the behaviour and sense of
understanding expected at such professional places. These 4 weeks have
taught me how to take on a new assignment, without fearing the
challenges it would bring. The credit goes to the Department of
Commerce (Patrician College of Arts and Science)and to the University
of Madras as this is been made mandatory for the completion of the P.G
degree. This training has been a career building opportunity and has
been effectively utilized to develop my knowledge.

Internship Training is teaching, or developing in oneself or others,
any skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies.
Institutional Training has specific goals of improving one's capability,
capacity, productivity and performance. It forms the core
of apprenticeships and provides the backbone of content at institutes of
technology. In addition to the basic institutional training required for
a trade, occupation or profession, needs to continue training beyond
initial qualifications: to maintain, upgrade and update skills
throughout working life. People within many professions and
occupations may refer to this sort of training as professional
development.
This institutional training is an experience for me as it has been one
of the wonderful opportunities to do the institutional training at CC
BANK. It was a chance for me to know how the banking sector is
working. The branch manager provided various details about the
banking system.

Finally, CC BANK is a bank which plays a vital role in providing loans
and deposits for the people of TAMIL NADU for the past100 years of
excellent service which help the people to mobilize their savings and
investments.
