Instructions to the candidate

  1.   The entries on the Admit Card are strictly as per the Application form submitted by the candidate.

  2.   Print this Admit Card on an A4 size paper using a laser printer. Admit Card is valid only if the candidate's
photograph and signature images are legibly printed. Paste a passport size photograph of the candidate at the
indicated place. Make sure that you also print and carry the Self-Declaration.

  3.  Entry to the exam centre will NOT be permitted without the Admit Card. The Admit Card is to be produced for
verification at the entrance of the test center. At least one original (not scanned) valid (not expired) photo
identification card (such as Voter ID, Passport, Pan Card, Driving License, Photo pasted centralized Bank Passbook,
UID Aadhar Card, Photo pasted 10th or 12th Marksheet) should also be presented. The candidate's photograph and
signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match the name on the Admit card.
The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged.

  4.  Kindly be informed that the original copy of this Admit Card will be collected at the examination hall. Hence you are
requested to keep additional copy of the Admit Card for your reference.

  5.  Candidates are advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can
reach the centre on time on the day of the test.
  6.  Candidates should report at the test center on the test day at 8:00 AM. Exam will start at 10:00 AM. No candidate will
be allowed enter the test centre after 10:30 AM. PwD candidates will get priority entry into the test centre.

  7.  PwD candidates must submit a self-attested photocopy of the permanent disability certificate issued by competent
authority for availing PwD benefits. If approved, PwD candidates should arrange for their own scribe at their own
cost. Scribe must carry his/her valid proof of identity.

  8.   Such candidate who uses a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the
examination. (Blind/Low Vision candidates and other candidates whose writing speed is affected permanently for
any reason, whether availing the facility of scribe or not shall be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes and or
part thereof for every hour of the examination.)

  9.   DO NOT wear any jewellery or other items containing metal. Mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets such as
Smart watches, calculators are NOT ALLOWED inside the test hall. There is no facility for safekeeping of your
personal belongings outside the test hall and we are not responsible for its loss. Only Admit Card, Original Photo ID
Card, Transparent Water Bottle & Ball Pen will be allowed inside the test hall.

  10.  Rough sheet(s) will be provided to the candidates for rough work, which will have to be returned after the test. An
online non-programmable scientific calculator will be provided on the candidate's console.

 11.   Request for change of test centre will NOT be entertained.

 12.   Candidates need to make their own travel and stay arrangements for attending the test. Friends and relatives
accompanying the candidate will not be allowed inside the test centre.

 13.   Candidates must thoroughly go through the instructions presented on their test console before the beginning of the
test.

 14.   Candidates indulging in copying or adopting unfair means at any stage of the examination will be summarily
disqualified.

 15.   Other than medical emergency, candidates shall not be allowed to leave the Test Hall till the end of the test.

 16.   The possibility of occurrence of some unforeseen/ unavoidable circumstances in the conduct of the test cannot be
ruled out completely which may impact test delivery and/or result from being generated. In that event, every effort
will be made to rectify such problem which may include movement of candidates, delay in test. Conduct of
reexamination is at the sole discretion of the JEST organizing committee. Candidates not willing to move or not
willing to participate in the delayed process of test delivery shall be summarily rejected from the process.

 17.   Please note that ensuring eligibility for selection to the different academic programs which use JEST as a screening
test, exclusively rests on candidates. JEST does not verify eligibility of candidates based on the data provided by
candidates in the application form.

Important Instructions for Candidates On COVID-19

  1.  Candidates should arrive at the test center keeping sufficient time at hand before the beginning of the test.
Candidates must maintain social distancing starting from point of entry in the exam venue till his/her exit from the
exam venue.

  2.  Candidate must wear a proper mask when they arrive at the test centre. They must bring their own fresh
N95/appropriate face mask, gloves, personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), transparent water bottle, ball pen etc. and the
exam related documents (Admit Card, photo ID Card etc.). No other items will be permitted inside exam venue.

  3.  Candidates must bring the signed declaration provided along with this Admit Card and hand over the same to the
Security Guard at the entry into the test venue.

  4.   Candidates having COVID positive report WILL NOT be allowed entry into the exam venue.

  5.   Temperature of the candidates will be checked at the entry to the exam venue via a Thermo Gun. Only those
candidates will be allowed inside the exam venue whose temperature will be within the acceptability limits as
approved by competent authorities.
  6.   Mapping of ‘Candidate Application Number/Roll Number and the Lab/Room Number’ will NOT be displayed outside
the exam venue, but the same will be provided to the candidates individually at the time of entry of the candidate to
the exam venue and post their Admit Card and ID verification.

  7.   Candidates need to follow directions given by the officials and need to stand in que maintaining social distancing
norms.

  8.   At registration desk, the candidate will be directed to sanitize his / her hands using provided sanitizer.

  9.   Candidates will be under CCTV coverage throughout the exam procedure and will be allowed to leave only after 180
min after the start of the test.

causing health hazards to others.
