BACKGROUND the extraordinary ripple effect of the novel coronavirus as schools conform

times.

tried to document and formulate solutions that could help parents and
learners navigate through the plethora of challenges facing education during
pandemic by building a much stronger connections with parents, learners
and stakeholders.
Based on previous school performance data, BIBIES has low reading
index as reflected by 68% average Frustration Level from KS1 to KS2.
Prevention even during trying times of pandemic must be done in order to
prevent worsening of the scenario. Dialogues with parents have given
teachers a cue on how to give solution to this problem.
A literacy-focused parenting education program, dubbed as “Bisita-
Eskwela” was conceptualized to capacitate and support parents as a child’s
first teacher through home visitation programs. The primary aim of the
program was to improve reading readiness and academic performance
among Grade 1 learners through Bisita Eskwela.
