Education
The significance of education in the 21st-century is that it gives students the skills they
need to succeed in the new world and helps them develop their confidence to practice those
skills. Education is an enormous contributing factor to building a nation. Essentially, most of the
other contributing factors may not exist without this. Offering quality education is actually one of
the sustainable development goals, which is a global organization of objectives. Education
ensures competency among the levels of society; consequently, other factors progress more with
this. To conclude, it should constantly be one of the nation’s priorities to manage education for
all because the goal is not just to build a nation but a competitive one.

Willingness to Sacrifice
The significance of the willingness to sacrifice in the 21st-century is that it shows the
individual's love for their country. Like what other people say, you cannot love your country
without loving your fellow citizens. The veracious expression of that love is the willingness of
the people to sacrifice for their country and fellow citizens. Our country today has so many
problems. The willingness to sacrifice for your fellow citizens will benefit and make a healthy
society. Everyone's sacrifices will help us to achieve peace and prosperity that will make our
country great.

Racial Pride and Dignity

Having racial pride and dignity is very significant in this 21st century. Racial pride helps
us to be more aware and mindful of our own. Not only that we become more aware and mindful,
but we also gain a deep sense of pride in the diversity of our own culture. Since diversity makes
our world go round, we must understand individuals and their backgrounds to have community
growth. In addition, dignity is a significant part of our well-being. Having dignity implies being
valued and respected for what we are, what we believe in, and how we carry on our lives. If we
treat other people with dignity and respect, there is a huge possibility that they will treat us the
way we'd like to be treated.

National Consciousness
National consciousness is a shared sense of national identity and a mutual understanding
that a people group shares a common ethnic, linguistic, or cultural background. Having national
consciousness is significant during this 21st-century because it plays an essential role in political
and social-economic developments in many nations. A portion of the significance of national
consciousness is that it promotes national unity, sustainable development, peace, respect for
diversity, patriotism, etc. Furthermore, creating a national consciousness helps to decimate
governmental issues of ethnic division by convincing the youth not to vote for their ethnic group
but for a political party whose political platform promotes national development.

Re-orientation of Values and Beliefs
A nation shares history, wherein emotional connection within the people is built through
similar experiences. Religion and culture in our country were taken from numerous events in the
past. Specifically, when we were colonized by the Spaniards and Americans. Spanish
colonization introduced the whole nation to Catholicism or Christianity, the religion which most
of our people were baptized into. The Philippines is known to be a religious country, wherein the
Church has its own power. Moreover, the Americans established education in our country, where
this, is now considered a large contributing factor to the quality of a community. These
experiences also introduced various cultures to our country, such as festivals for saints, and
numerous other celebrations.
