Water Treatment Plant also as known Installation Water Teatment

Water Treatment Plant abbriviated WTP which is construction or buidilding for clean water
treatment. This process need for got quality water. Although the water apperently clean, but not
necessarily this water fit for comsumption

So, in general water treatment have 3 units :

Intake, Water Treatment, adn Resevoir
1. Intake process is start of process water accomodated in a special unit. The water collected in
bulk, so not infrequently many things are carried away. And this unit be eqquiped filtration for
filtrat the many things are carried away (like wood, leaf, etc). in this unit the water usually stil
cloudy but nothing carried away trash
2. Water Treatment proses is water treatment for the water clearner not cloudy like intake
process, in this step diveded into 5 stage :
 Coagulation, because basically the water source (raw water) usually contains various colloids
in it. The purpose of this process is to separate water with impurities dissolved in it. This
destabilization process can be carried out with the addition of chemicals or physically with
rapid missing, hydraulic, or mechanically
 Flucctuation, Water Treatment aims to form and enlarge the floc (deposited impurities).
Here is done slow mixing (slow mixing), the flow of water here must be calm. To increase
efficiency, chemical compounds are usually added that are able to bind the flocs
 Sedimentation,After the floc is formed (usually in the form of mud), the water will enter the
sedimentation tank where the heavier floc will automatically settle to the bottom of the tub
and clean water can be separated from the mud.
 Filtartion,After the water is separated from the mud, the water will be filtered again to make
it completely clean by being put into a filtration tank. Filtration tanks can use membrane
technology, but can also be substituted with other media such as sand and silica gravel. This
process is carried out with the help of the gravitational force.
 Desinfection, After the processing is complete, additional processes (disinfection) are usually
carried out in the form of adding chlorine, ozonation, UV, heating, etc. to avoid potential
germs and bacteria contained in the water.
3. Resevoir, in this step the water ready to be distributed to the public. actually resevoir is shelter
before the water want to distributed
