My Room
You may think it’s silly, but my favorite place in the world is my own room. I have two
little brothers and two little sisters, and my bedroom is the spot of the house where I feel
the most comfortable.

Since mom and dad have so much to do in order to take care of my many siblings, they
don’t mind if I go on and decorate my place however I like. That’s how I managed to paint
a big mural in one of its walls and have no one yelling at me about it. They just said it was
nice.

I also have two beds instead of one, because I like having my best friend, Laura, visit me.
As she lives on the other end of the town, it’s better for her to stay over and we spend half
of the night listening to music with our earplugs and talking quietly about anything that
comes to our minds.

In my room there’s my little goldfish, Gary, who is already five years old! I find it hard to
believe myself, after the guy at the pet shop said they don’t usually live more than three
years. I guess he is just one lucky little fish.

Next to him are my bookshelves. I love reading, but I don’t have many books, because I
live two blocks away from the public library and I prefer choosing from thousands of
options and reading them for free. Only when I really love a book I buy a copy for myself.
So far, I have really loved thirty-five books.
