Overarching objectives and project milestones

Project Strengths  This project will help with strengthening knowledge

for admissions counselors.

 Future counselors will be able to be to use this

knowledge whether they are new to this field or have

worked in Higher Education for years.

 Building more confidence in admissions counselors.

Project Weakness  The length of the training may differ depending on

the learning process of the individual admissions

counselor.

 Important to make sure that information is up to date

and relevant to the process, if it is not this can cause

issues for the admissions counselor.

 Turnover of employees can be an issue.

Anticipated Opportunities  This could be an opportunity for future growth for

admissions counselors as they learn different ways to

use the information that they have gathered. Upward

mobility.

 Admissions counselors can be able to learn areas such

as consulting to advising, being able to be more

versatile to the students that they help.

 If admissions counselors have an understanding of

other departments this will help counselors to be able

to navigate conversations much more effectively by

knowing policies and procedures.

Anticipated Threats  Time would be the biggest issue. Making sure that

counselors are learning in a timely manner, can be

hampered with vacations and sick days. Basically,

unforeseen circumstances that can happen during

holiday periods.

 Not having training ready in time for new agent due

to unexpected circumstances.

 New programs and polices happening in between

creation of training.
