MINI OLYMPIC 2019

PROPOSAL

A. RATIONALE

Physical endurance plays an important role in students’ growth throughout many aspects of
their lives. It is very crucial in developing students’ growth especially their social and
emotional aspects.

The priority of Mini Olympic activity is developing and implementing physical endurance
among students and making the students of Sugar Group Schools become active, tough,
and strong. It is essential that the students have access to develop their physical
endurance and sportiness, group working / togetherness, and social awareness through this
activity.

Increasing their physical endurance will enable students to increase their self-motivation,
cooperation, awareness of the sportiness and togetherness, as an individual and a part of
group. It also enables them to develop the aspects related to their personal growth. It
assists them to learn about themselves and their environment as well as the social aspect,
to communicate their thoughts and feelings, to participate in groups or society, to make
decisions about personal and social issues, and to discover their analytical capabilities
facing the problems of life. On top of that, the students will be able to expose themselves
to many different problems by their own points of view in life.

B. The Objectives:

 To develop and increase students physical endurance.

 To implement physical exercise among the students through the activity.
 To develop students’ skills and abilities in organization, self management, self
motivation not only in groups, but also independent as individual learners.
 To develop students’ competence in learning and using their social esteem in
range of live.
 To develop students’ knowledge and understanding in social lives and how
individuals are structured within different environments and their house.

C. Activity Description

The activity is based on house groups and followed by all SMA Sugar Group students and
SMP Gula Putih Mataram students. The activities will start with opening ceremony,
continued by the SGS 5 K RUN for all the students. It will followed by rolling games which
is consist of 6 base games and all houses must do the games. The houses will divide into 6
groups which is some clolour. The activity will use rotation system among 6 base games
for 15 minutes games activity and 5 minute for moving groups. The 30 minute break time
will intercept in the middle of activity for taking drink and snack.

E. Participants

Participants for this event are middle school students & high school students (24 houses
from MS-HS), and teachers. The participants (24 houses from MS-HS) will be divided into six
big groups.

I. COMPETITION SYSTEM
 1. For opening game: “Amazing Run”, students will be competed in individual. Ten
runners, who come first in the finish line, will be the winner and get the medal.
2. For the second game, the game will be played by team. The eight groups will
send their members to each game to compete with the other group. There are 2
kinds of the winner:
a) The group who win in each game (6 group winners)
b) The group who gets many victories in all games (1 group winner)

Desciption: The participants must take the ping pong ball out from the fountain pipe
by filling the water into it till the ball float out itself. The fountain have
some hole which is the participant must work together to fill and cover
the hole with their body part.

5. Racing Scorpion
Desciption: they will racing from start line to the finish line by arrange group
participants in scorpion style.

6. The Tower Ring

Desciption: The participants have to take the rings out from the tower without
touch the forbidden circle area around the tower as well as they can not
touch the tower also.

7. Olympic Torch Guard

Desciption: The group participants have to move the Olympic candle cross the start
to finish line and protect it from the group attacker with water spray.

8. Bomb Evacuation
Desciption:: The group participants have to evacuate the bomb to the save place
(bomb deposit box). The bomb is liquid material and if it spilt out it will
blast.

9. Traffic Jam
Desciption: the groups participants will cross each other among them by only step on
the taps without fall or step out of the tap.

10.Body Evacuation
Desciption: the group participants have to evacuate body from the danger area
together relay without stand up or they will kill.

Desciption: The participant must cross the bomb field follow the friend guidance to
avoid the bomb blast.

Desciption: The group participant must cross the lebung by two rope as the bridge.

Desciption: The group participants have to cross the web without touch the line of
the web. They will got more score if they can cross the difficult one with
the highest score.

2 Rhythmic Gymnastics, in 10 minute each member of housing has to dance following
the music. The best house able to followed music.
3 Ping pong Ball Citement, each member of housing move ping pong ball using spoon 10
m. The best housing able to collected ping pong ball very much.

4 Passion Pass. Lawn tennis ball is passed along the line under the chin of Olympians
using no hand (10 m). the best house able to collected lawn tennis ball very much.

5 Aussie Thong Throw, each member of house has to throw the ball in rubbish bean for 5
m, sure-between the legs, over the shoulder. The best house able to entering sandal in
basket.

6 Balloon in Love estafet, as 10 m with partner in one house bring balloon using back
body. The best house able to moved balloon very much.

7 Blow Balloon, as 10 m each member of house has to blow the balloon go and back. The
best house able to blow balloon very much.

8 Three Lomba Juang, in this point have three kind of activities, first is masuk lewat
selangkangan, memindahkan karet dengan korek api and memindahkan koran
(estafet)10 m.

9 News Paper Balloon, All students must together carry a ballon on a piece of newspaper
to the destination. The aim is to successfully carrying the ball without dropping it or
ripping the paper apart. The best house able to collected balloon very much.

10 Soccer Ball Esstafet, as 10 m each house able to move soccer ball by legs. The best
house able to collected ball very much.

11 Head to head, Two students must hold a tennis ball between their heads and carry it,
then to be put into a waste basket at the other side for 10 m. the best house able to
collected ball very much.

12 Toxic Game, Students must in turn carry water in a small booked with plastic robe but
when they take water they not allow touch the booked for 10m. The aim is to
successfully carry as much water as possible to the other side.

13 Crocodile River, all member of house has to cross the river by the news paper as their
canoe. The best house able to moved all member of house.

14 Shake Bamboo, all member of house must able to move between posts to post only
with two bamboos. The best house able to moved all member of house.

15 Water Passing, with their hand they have to pass water in small plastic and other
student in one house have to catch the water in plastic, starting from 2 m until as long
as they can.
