Product Information

Price FRFD Series diffusers are designed

to produce a low velocity, multi-directional
air pattern. Fixed pattern control blades set
at precise discharge angles provide effective
directional air control with minimum
resistance or noise generation. An internal
air baffle equalizes air flow across the face
of the diffuser.The entire face of the diffuser,
including the pattern control blades, is flush
with the ceiling line for blending in well to
most ceiling systems. The face panel is
removable from the room side via quarter-
turn fasteners, providing access for damper
adjustment or cleaning.The semi-cylindrical
air pattern and low noise level of the FRFD
allow for selection at higher air volumes
than conventional diffusers, making it
suitable for laboratories, cleanrooms,
medical facilities and kitchens. Available in 2
way (full-radial) and 1 way (half-radial) blow
patterns.
• Optional neck-mounted volume control
damper is fabricated of coated steel with
nickel-plated operators and finished in
B12 White Powder Coat paint. Stainless
steel optional damper also available.
• Suitable for use in either T-bar or surface
mount applications.

Product Overview

Price Flush Face Radial Flow diffusers

are designed to handle large volumes FRFD/FRFDP - Fixed Patterns
of air in confined spaces with maximum
comfort and low room air velocities.
The face of the diffuser is flush with the
ceiling line for architectural appeal and
non-interference with tall equipment.
Quarter-turn fasteners allow complete
removal of the diffuser face for cleaning,
as well as open access to the plenum for
optional damper adjustment. The FRFD
series diffuser has the appearance of a
multi-vaned outlet with exposed pattern
deflection at the face. The FRFDP series
diffuser features a perforated face that
blends well with T-bar ceiling systems.
Typical applications for either product
include laboratories, cleanrooms, hospital 2 Way Full-Radial 1 Way Half-Radial
rooms, animal labs, kitchens and computer
rooms.
Air Patterns FRFDA - Adjustable Patterns
The Price Flush Face Radial Flow diffusers
combine the best features of both aspirating
and laminar flow outlets. Perforated
equalization baffles combined with pattern
deflectors produce low initial face velocities
to distribute large volumes of air in a semi-
circular pattern. Rapid air change rates
are achieved with minimal mixing of
contaminated room air.
CRITICAL ENVIRONMENTS

The FRFD and FRFDP series are available in

fixed patterns:
• 2 Way Full-Radial
• 1 Way Half-Radial
The FRFDA series is provided with adjustable
pattern controllers mounted behind the 1 Way Half-Radial
diffuser face which can be factory or field
adjusted to achieve four different discrete
patterns:
• 2 Way Full-Radial
• 1 Way Half-Radial
• 2 Way Horizontal 1 Way Vertical
• 1 Way Vertical
This unique method of pattern adjustment
allows flexible, reliable discrete patterns.
Since the adjustment is set behind the
diffuser face, it is protected against
accidental pattern changes by cleaning staff
or unauthorized occupants.

Specialized Environment Diffusers
RFD - Aluminum Radial Flow Diffuser
Supply and install Price RFD radial flow diffusers of the sizes,
configurations and capacities indicated on the drawings
and/or diffuser schedule.
Each diffuser shall supply a radial, non-aspirating, low velocity
air pattern.
The diffuser shall consist of a multi-angular perforated face that
extends below the ceiling by approximately 5.75” (146), and an
integral plenum with duct connection.
The face shall be 0.04” (1) thick aluminum perforated and
shall incorporate directional control vanes, quick-­ release
latches and full length hinging to the plenum. The hinging shall
be designed to allow the complete separation of the face and
plenum if ­required. Room-side access shall be available to the
interior of the unit without moving the backpan/plenum. Screw
and/or clip ­mounting of the diffuser face is ­unacceptable.
The plenum shall be fully accessible for cleaning with no internal
baffles or ­obstructions.
The perforated face shall be constructed of aluminum with a
white baked enamel finish. The plenum shall be aluminum with
a white powder coat finish. Optional B12 white powder coat
finish available for both face and plenum.
RFDSS - Stainless Steel Radial Flow Diffuser
Supply and install Price RFDSS stainless steel radial flow
diffusers of the sizes, configurations, and capacities indicated
on the drawings and/or diffuser schedule.
Each diffuser shall supply a radial, non-aspirating, low velocity
air pattern.
The diffuser shall consist of a multi-­angular perforated face that
extends below the ceiling by approximately 5.75” (146), and an
integral plenum with duct connection.
The face shall incorporate directional control vanes, quick-release

The Flush Face Radial Flow Diffuser, Model FRFD, shall be
constructed of air deflector blades below an equalization baffle.
The entire face of the diffuser shall lay even with the ceiling line,
with no part of the diffuser projecting below the ceiling system.
Face frame, border, and deflector blades components shall be
constructed of aluminum. Equalization baffle and plenum may
be provided in painted steel.
The diffuser face shall open easily with quarter-turn fasteners
and safety cable for damper adjustment and cleaning. The
plenum shall be fully accessible for cleaning with no internal
baffles or obstructions. Diffusers shall have a B12 white powder
coat finish which will withstand cleaning with high concentration
cleaning solutions and agents.

stainless steel.

The Flush Face Radial Flow Diffuser, Model FRFDA, shall be
constructed of air deflector blades below an equalization baffle.
The entire face of the diffuser shall lay even with the ceiling line,
with no part of the diffuser projecting below the ceiling system.
Face frame, border, and deflector blades components shall be
constructed of aluminum. Equalization baffle and plenum may
be provided in painted steel.
Each diffuser shall be adjustable to supply a precise, repeatable
full 2 way radial, full 1 way radial, 2 way horizontal or vertical,
non-aspirating, low velocity air pattern. Pattern adjustments must
be affected by setting pattern adjustment controllers in
predetermined locations above the equalization baffle. Pattern
adjustment at the face using movable blades is not acceptable.
The diffuser face shall open easily with quarter-turn fasteners
and safety cable for damper adjustment and cleaning. The
plenum shall be fully accessible for cleaning with no internal
baffles or obstructions. Diffusers shall have a B12 white powder
coat finish which will withstand cleaning with high concentration
cleaning solutions and agents.
