SUBJECT Request (or Quick Count on the Number of Barangay


Health Workers per Province/HUC

Section 4 of Republic Act (RA) 7883 or the BHWs' Benefits and Incentives Act of 1995
mandates the Department of Health to maintain a national registry of registered and/or
accredited BHWs.

In view of this, may we request your office through the Provincial/HUC BHW Coordinators
and/or Development Management Officers (DMOs) to provide us a quick count on the number
ofBHWs including those who are neither registered nor accredited by the Local Health Board
(hence not being captured in the National BHW Registry System) like those who were
appointed by Barangay Chairpersons.

Kindly accomplish the table below and submit on or before May 18, 2022. For any queries,
