ARTWORK AS EXPRESSION OF ADVOCACY
After knowing inclusion and examples of technology-based arts, take note that some digital artists have even used their works to express their views on political, social, and cultural issues; as well as to advocate causes that are critical to modern life, such as the environment and climate change. Others even explore the philosophical relationship between science and technology and the arts. There are 4 ways that you can advocate for the Arts according to Wynita Harmon. 1. Get art in the local community. 2. Highlight student art. 3. Be aware of legislative policies. 4. Reach out representatives and stakeholders. Direction: Using your smartphone, express your advocacy on fighting social problems as you capture artistic images. You may send your output to your teacher through email, messaging app or any file-transfer app. If not, kindly print your output on a separate sheet of long bond paper and attach in here for submission.
