- A hand tool is any tool that is powered by hand rather than a motor.

TYPES AND USES OF BASIC HAND TOOLS


A. WRENCHES- also called spanner, tool, usually operated by
hand, for tightening bolts and nuts.
B. PLIERS- are generally used as all-around tools, they have the
capability for bending, crimping, cutting, holding, stripping and
twesting.
C. HAMMER- are generally used for driving or striking works.
D. SCREWDRIVERS- is a piece of long metal rod made of
hardened steel and it is used to loosen and tighten screws.
E. HACKSAW-  a fine-tooth saw with a blade under tension in a
frame that is used for cutting hard materials (such as metal)

The teacher will explain further the topic and ask some questions and
clarification to the students.
