The learner discusses the stages of infection
(H8DD-IIIa-15)

a. Objective
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. explain the chain of infection;
b. discuss the stages of infection;
c. realize the importance of knowing the chain and stages
of infection for prevention.

V.PROCEDURES
A. Activity

The students will be given statements on the screen, they
will answer the statements according to their prior
knowledge. If they think the statement is correct, they will
show the . If they think the statement is incorrect, they

B. Analysis The teacher will start to establish purpose of the lesson.


Topics will be presented to the class. The Chain and Stages
of Infection will be tackled while the content of the lesson
is being projected.
C. Abstraction The teacher will ask the following questions to the
students:

 As a recap, what are the chain of infection?


 Can we break the chain? In what way?
 Have you experienced having diseases? What did
you do to address it?
 What is the significance of understanding the chain
and stages of infection to our daily lives?
D. Application Group Presentation
The class will be grouped into 3.
They will create a short presentation based on the task
given.
Each group will be given 5 to 10 minutes to prepare for the
presentation.

Performance will be rated according to the following


criteria:
Content – 10 pts.
Presentation – 10 pts.
Creativity – 5 pts.
Member’s participation – 5 pts.
TOTAL = 30 points

VI.ASSESSMENT Identification
1.These are diseases which are transferred from one
person to another.
2.What is the disease- causing microorganism that
attack the body and infect cells?
