HPASTRY FINAL EXAM ACTIVITY

NAME: JUAN DELA CRUZ

Recipe Name: Cinnamon Sugar-coated churros with chocolate syrup


Yield: Serves 8-10
Ingredients:
Quantity UOM Description
1 cup Water
100 g Butter
1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
1 cup All-purpose flour
2 pcs Eggs
Vegetable oil
Coating
½ cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Procedure:
For the batter
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of water, butter, sugar, and salt.
2. Stir it and let it boil.
3. Once it is boiling, lower the heat and add in the flour.
4. Stir constantly until the mixture comes together.
5. Transfer mixture into a large mixing bowl.
6. Add 2 large eggs, 1 at a time, into the mixing bowl.
7. Transfer the dough into a piping bag.
For frying
1. Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan.
2. Pipe dough about 4-inch length into the hot saucepan.
3. Fry the strips of dough for about 30 minutes until it turns golden brown.
Assembly
1. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a container.
2. Add the churros into the container and shake it well until they are evenly coated with sugar and
cinnamon.
3. Serve the churros with chocolate syrup.
