Board of Directors Meeting (Zoom call)

MINUTES
Directors Present, constituting a quorum were:

Jim Sherwood, President/Grounds and Maintenance

Rachid Benjelloun, Social Events
Martha Bernardi, Membership
Roger Hartman, Neighborhood Watch
Stephanie Murphy, Treasurer/Secretary

1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

2. Events

a. National Night Out – NNO is planned for October 6 (postponed from its usual first Tuesday
in August schedule). A reminder will be sent to the community by Ms. Visioli. Mr.
Sherwood will take care of the community signs. The pool will be providing some lighting.

b. Halloween – The Board agreed not to take a position one way or the other on trick or
treating this year. CDC guidelines will be noted in the newsletter. We will announce a
contest for best door and yard decoration. Ms. Murphy has agreed to take the pictures
on Halloween morning since it is a Saturday. Pictures will be provided to the Board for
deliberation later in the day.

c. Turkey Trot – The planned date for the Turkey Trot this year will be Thanksgiving morning
on November 26th. Mr. Hartman has started the permit process with the police
department. Signups should begin in mid-October and go through October 31 so that t-
shirts can be ordered by November 6. The t-shirt design was discussed and some change
suggested. Ms. Bernardi will come back to the Board by email with additional options. A
piece will be included in the newsletter about the turkey trot. We will require a waiver
similar to last year’s waiver.

Bradfield will be notified since we run through their neighborhood to make the loop.
There will be staggered start times. We could consider using Sign up Genius for this
purpose.

The grab and go concept for food was reaffirmed from the September meeting.

3. Upcoming Meeting
The next meeting date is scheduled for Thursday, October 22 at 7pm.

4. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 7:05 pm.
