SUBJECT : DESIGNATION AS MEMBER IN THE SCHOOL INCIDENT

COMMAND SYTEM
In the exigency of the service, you are hereby designated as INCIDENT

COMMANDER IN THE SCHOOL INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM of DEL MONTE
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL effective immediately in addition to your regular teaching loads.
You are expected to perform the duties and responsibilities attached to your designation
and such other related functions not stipulated herein as the need arises.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Have clear authority and know agency policy.
2.Ensure incident safety.
3. Establish the Incident Command Plan.
4. Set priorities, and determine incident objectives and strategies to be followed.
5. Establish Incident Command System organization needed to manage the incident.
6. Approve the Incident Action Plan.
7. Coordinate Command and General Staff activities.
8. Approve resource requests and use of volunteers and auxiliary personnel.
9. Order demobilization as needed.
10. Ensure after-action reports are completed.
11. Authorize information release to the media

In the exigency of the service, you are hereby designated as PUBLIC INFORMATION
OFFICER IN THE SCHOOL INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM of DEL MONTE
1. Determine, according to direction from IC, any limits on information release.
2. Develop accurate, accessible, and timely information for use in press/media briefings.
3. Obtain the IC’s approval of news releases.
4. Conduct periodic media briefings.
5. Arrange for tours and other interviews or briefings that may be required.
6. Monitor and forward media information that may be useful to incident planning.
7. Maintain current information summaries and/or displays on the incident.
8. Make information about the incident available to incident personnel.
9 . Participate in Planning Meetings.
10. Implement methods to monitor rumor control.

In the exigency of the service, you are hereby designated as SAFETY OFFICER IN
THE SCHOOL INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM of DEL MONTE ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL effective immediately in addition to your regular teaching loads.
1. Identify and mitigate hazardous situations.
2. Create a Safety Plan.
3. Ensure safety messages and briefings are made.
4. Exercise emergency authority to stop and prevent unsafe acts .
5. Review the IAP for safety implications.
6. Assign assistants qualified to evaluate special hazards
7. Initiate preliminary investigation of accidents within the incident area.
8. Review and approve the Medical Plan.
9. Participate in Planning Meetings to address anticipated hazards associated with future
operations.

1. Act as a point of contact for Agency Representatives.
2. Maintain a list of assisting and cooperating agencies and Agency Representatives.
3. Assist in setting up and coordinating interagency contacts.
4. Monitor incident operations to identify current or potential interorganizational problems.
5. Participate in Planning Meetings, providing current resource status, including limitations and
capabilities of agency resources.
6. Provide agency-specific demobilization information and requirements.

1.Provide all facilities, transportation, communications, supplies, equipment maintenance and
fueling, food, and medical services for incident personnel, and all off-incident resources.
2. Manage all incident logistics.
3. Provide logistics input to the IAP.
4. Brief Logistics staff as needed.
5. Identify anticipated and known incident service and support requirements.
6. Request additional resources as needed.
7. Ensure and oversee development of Traffic, Medical, and Communications Plans as required.
8. Oversee demobilization of Logistics Section and associated resources.

1. Manage all financial aspects of an incident.
2. Provide financial and cost analysis information as requested.
3. Ensure compensation and claims functions are being addressed relative to the incident.
4. Gather pertinent information from briefings with responsible agencies.
5. Determine the need to set up and operate an incident commissary.
6. Meet with assisting and cooperating Agency Representatives as needed.
7, Ensure that personnel time records are completed accurately and transmitted to home
agencies.
8. Ensure that all obligation documents initiated at the incident are properly prepared and
completed.
9. Provide input to the IAP.
