PROCEDURE
‰ Record system information before changing the image receptor.
o Click on Info and About the Acquisition Station and record the following
information:

‰ Gather and save the following information as described in TB-00200.

o m4_tube.cfg
o img_proc.cfg or img_proc.w.cfg or img_proc.mo.cfg
o Flat field images with large and small focal spot, and with two filters
o Gain calibration mode flat field image
o ACR QC phantom image with acrylic disk and record reported kV, mAs and
AGD at 4.5cm.
o SNR and CNR worksheets
o ‘‘For Processing’’ and ‘‘For Presentation’’ images

‰ Remove existing image receptor from gantry.

o See Maintenance Manual MAN-00745, Chapter 9, Section 5.2 for detailed
image receptor removal/replacement/shipping instructions.

‰ Verify the array software version is compatible with the AWS software version.
o See SW-Compatibility.pdf

‰ Preserve a copy of the Drapi.cfg file.

o Older versions of the install.sh file may possibly overwrite the present
Drapi.cfg file with an invalid version.

‰ Run detector installation software.

o Minimize the application.
o Open a terminal window.
o Type su <return>
o Type <password> <return>
o Place the Array Configuration CD that came with the detector in the CD drive.
o Type cd<space>/cdrom/cdrom1<return>
o Type ./install.sh<return>

‰ Verify that the detector C-arm rotation switch is adjusted properly per
TB-00146, ‘‘Proper Alignment Adjustment of Array Rotation Switch’’.

‰ Allow image detector temperature to stabilize one hour.

o See Field Flash DRC_FF_0018 for temperature recommendations.

‰ Perform gain calibration.

‰ Perform AEC calibration.

o If AWS version is earlier than 3.2.3.0 use TB-00106.
o If AWS version is 3.2.3.0 to 3.3.1.1 use MAN-00799.
o If AWS version is 3.4.0.9 and above use MAN-01334.

‰ Perform grid calibration.

o See Field Flash DRC_FF_0017 for Grid Troubleshooting Guide.

‰ Configure proper dose and match image quality.
