Regublic ofthe Dbitinoines Department of Coucation REGION V SCHOOLS DIVISION OF MASBATE April 5, 2022 Division Memorandum No. a » 8. 2022 GUIDELINES ON THE PREPARATION OF GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT (GAD) PLANS AND UTILIZATION OF GAD BUDGETS FOR FY 2022 To: Assistant Schools Division Superintendents Chief Education Supervisor, CID Chief Education Supervisor, SGOD Public Schools District Supervisors/In-charge of the Districts Elementary and Secondary School Heads All Others Concerned 1. In relation to DepEd Order No. 63, s. 2012 (Guidelines on the Preparation of Gender and Development [GAD] Plans, Utilization of GAD Budgets and Submission of Accomplishment Reports), this Division issues the Guidelines on the Preparation of Gender and Development (GAD) Plans and Utilization of GAD Budgets for FY 2022. 2. The annual GAD Plans and Budgets (GPBs) shall be guided by the desired outcomes and goals embodied in the Magna Carta of Women and other relevant laws, particularly the Committee on Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and other international commitments. 3. guidelines: a. PPAs must be issue-based resulting from gender analysis and research ensuring that different concerns and issues of both women and men are equally addressed in the GPBs; b. All GAD PPAs shall be subjected to detailed evaluation using the Harmonized GAD Guidelines (Enclosures 1,2, and 3}; and ©. The existing sox-disaggregated data in the Basic Education Information System (BEIS) shall be used as basis for planning, budgeting, and policy formulation. The Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS) and the District GAD Coordinators shall quality assure the schools’ GAD Plans and Budgets on or before April 18, 2022 and be submitted to the Division Office (SGOD-HRD) in ONE FOLDER PER DISTRICT on or before April 25, 2022. 6. The PSDSs and District GAD Coordinators are required to attend a virtual orientation on the GAD Plans and Budget preparation on April 11, 2022 at 1:00 in the afternoon via Google Meet. The link shall be sent to the participants on the scheduled date. 7. Attachments to the GAD Plans and Budget shall be the accomplished and signed tools of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) and a copy of the portion of 2020 BEIS data that served as bases of the GAD PPA: 8.
