Lesson Two centuries ago, the word media was first used to describe newspapers.
Introduction Although it has different forms like mass media, print media and visual media,
generally, its purpose is just the same; media as a channel of communication.
Visual media (Daryanto, 1993:27) means all the props used in the process of
learning that can be enjoyed through the eye senses.
There are three types of visual media; namely, images, videos and infographics. It is
seen oftentimes on televisions, smartphones, newspapers, magazines, billboards,
computers, screen projectors and other mediums and devices.
It serves different purposes like express an opinion or point of view, educate
through factual content and information, persuade viewers and listeners to buy a
product or think certain ways and entertain an audience, as in video games or
movies.
