Before a deadly disease suddenly appeared that caused a pandemic,
Zariyah was forgotten by the Leviste family because they were all preoccupied with their jobs. The Leviste family stayed together in their home during the pandemic, but Zariyah was unhappy because she prefers to spend time with her friends rather than with her family. But she is sure the virus has made almost everyone nervous and anxious. Because who isn't afraid of being contaminated and dying as a result of the virus? She knew since the beginning of this epidemic that our lives are only temporary and borrowed. The one we call our own will be taken from us one day, and we will be burned to ashes. One day, she had a mental breakdown and she couldn’t tell her parents because she thought they might invalidate her and judge her. She believes this because she grew up without sharing her problems with her family. So she called her friends, but no one seemed to care about her. She realized then that they were never truly her friends. Her family was about to invite her to the hot pot to unwind, but they all heard her crying inside her room. They all comforted her and asked what had happened. They hugged her and wiped her tears. In their hugs, she felt suddenly warm and safe. That's when she realized she could always count on her family. Her family is aware of their failures as parents and is willing to prove themselves to her once more. They stayed in the hot tub and had long conversations about life. She realized that closing our eyes to sleep at night and being unable to open them the next day denotes death. One of the lessons she learned during COVID-19 PANDEMIC is the significance of her eyes every time they open in the morning. Because it represents life rather than just a blessing or a new beginning. A life that has taught her that no matter how bad she is, GOD will always be generous enough to give her the greatest gift of all. Since then, she learned to value her life and make every effort to appreciate the little things. She values the people that appreciate her and she already decided that as long as her eyes are open, she must treasure every moment. She needs to do things that make her feel alive, happy, and free. Things that she will undoubtedly regret if she fails to do so. She realizes that time is ticking away and that it could end at any moment, so as long as it ticks, she must spend it in a way that makes her happy, despite the fear that the virus has caused her. She supposes the virus is dangerous enough to wipe out a large portion of the world's population, but she knows her savior is omnipotent. He'll carry her and her loved ones, just as he carried the world.
