PART II. CHALLENGE YOURSELF

For numbers 19-24. Give your own interpretation on the following given
situations. (Note: Answers should be written in a clean sheet of bond
paper. This has to be submitted to my messenger within the examination
time given. Late responses will not be accepted).

SITUATION 1 (2 points)

Several clouds were observed to be slowly moving together over the warm
ocean water near the equator. The clouds are starting to spiral around a low
pressure area, moving the winds towards the Philippines. What can be inferred
from the data given? Explain your answer.

SITUATION 2 (2 points)

The map below shows the lands and oceans of the world. The arrows show the
movement and direction of tropical cyclones. What can be inferred from the data
given? Explain your answer.
SITUATION 3 (2 points)

During August, the Philippines experiences torrential rain due to habagat. What
causes Habagat in the Philippines?

PART III. LET’S INVESTIGATE (CASE STUDY)

For numbers 25-30, discuss your own idea or opinion about the given
situations. (Note: Answers should be written in a clean sheet of bond
paper. This has to be submitted to my messenger within the examination
time given. Late responses will not be accepted).

is connected to the mining activity in the nearby mountains. How can the lake
problem be connected to mining?

SITUATION 2 (2 points)

The land beside the river is better for farming compared to the land on top of
the mountain. Farmers observed that without erosion, this would not be possible.
How does erosion make the land beside the river fertile?
SITUATION 3 (2 points)

decades near a populated community. What could be the chain of events that led
to the formation of the delta?
