A Cover Letter

A Snapshot of my Professional Journey

I am writing this letter to express my keenness to work with Young India Fellowship Program
as Assistant Manager and to convey the detail information about my work expertise areas of
the last seven years. It helps you to assess my skills and understand my prior work expertise
and engagements in the professional journey.
I have done Master’s from TISS Mumbai where my major subjects were CODP, Strategic
Management, Project Management, Social Policy, Qualitative and Quantitative Research.
Initially, I worked with consulting organization in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility,
Social Enterprise Business Model Design & Development, Strategic Partnership and Project
Implementation. Since last five years I have been majorly working as government consultant
with different thematic areas of development sector. I worked as managerial level where I
worked with District Magistrate (DM), Departmental Secretary, and Directors of MHA & NITI
Aayog. I have strong analytical skills to assess the work progress and strategically plan the task
and Way Forward. I have good communication skills and Public Relation while working with
multi institutional organization such as Government Department, CSR Agencies as well as
Elective Representative (MP, MLA) in my professional journey.
I am currently working in one of the flagship Program of NITI Aayog, i.e. Aspirational District
Program. My position is placed through multi-collateral agreement between Ministry of Home Affairs,
Left Wing Extremism (LWE) and Tata Trusts. I am posted in Ramgarh District, Jharkhand with District
Administration where my reporting officer is District Magistrate (DM). I also report to State Team as
well as NITI Aayog and MHA, Central Team in New Delhi. I have good network and build up
trustworthiness in the government department as well.

Previously, I have also worked on similar capacity with TISS, Mumbai as Programme Manager of
Incubation Centre where Young Fellow who are passionate to start up social venture and incubate
business model. I used to provide administrative and managerial support of 21 social venture as well as
liaising with Funding Partners such as DBS Bank. I have established a mentor network system who
have supported their thematic expertise to the Young Fellow to operationalised Business Model and
branding their ideas in the main stream of market.

Later, I have also started own social venture working water and sanitation thematic areas. Our business
ideas were rewarded at national level and pooled a fund through business plan competition. I have
entrepreneurial character and thinking proposition hence I always find way to create and build
something while working with district Administration with District Magistrate I lead the program
implementation across the Health, Nutrition, Education, Agriculture, Skill development and
Employment generation sector. In livelihood and employment generation sector, I have designed and
Implemented successfully of establishment of “Industrial Apparel Park in Palamu District,
Jharkhand”. This production unit provide the employment opportunity to 250 youth women in the
garment industries. I have mobilised fund of 3.0 cr. INR and liaison with bank to arrange loan as
working capital worth of 20 lakh INR which has been paid and successfully operated as of now. While
making program successful, I extensively put hands on program monitoring and evaluation and believe
in regular follow up that ensure work completion on the given timeline as well as quality work delivery.
Strategic Monitoring and Follow up helped me to secure even the 1st Rank out of 112 Aspirational
Districts while working in both Palamu and Ramgarh District in Jharkhand under the Aspirational
District Program. I have also received from Both District Magistrates – ‘Letter of Appreciation’ on
my work performance.

I am keen to work with Ashoka University where I’ll get opportunity to work in professional
areana, I would be an assets for the organization as I have diversify knowledge and experience
in development and public policy space.
