Для початку, ви повинні знати наступне:
– числівники англійської мови.
– в англійському не люблять вживати 24 годинний час, а зазвичай використовують 12
годинне. Щоб не плутатися вони застосовують скорочення. Час з 00 до 12 позначають am.
А час з 12 до 00 годин pm
– перед початком треба ставити it’s .
– до половини години треба використовувати past , а після половини – to .
– замість слова п’ятнадцять треба використовувати quarter (чверть).
– слово minutes (хвилини) в англійській мові зазвичай опускається.
00.00 (опівночі) – midnight, також корисно буде знати – опівночі – at midnight, за північ –
after midnight, далеко за північ – in the small hours
00.05 (п’ять хвилин на першу ночі) – it’s five past zero am
01.10 (десять хвилин другого ночі) – it’s ten past one am
02.15 (п’ятнадцять хвилин на третю ночі) – it’s a quarter past two am
13.10 (десять хвилин другого дня) – it’s ten past one pm
14.15 (п’ятнадцять хвилин третього дня) – it’s a quarter past two pm
17.30 (половина шостого вечора) – it’s half past five pm
07.40 (без двадцяти вісім ранку) – it’s twenty to eight am
08.45 (без п’ятнадцяти дев’ять ранку) – it’s a quarter to nine am
09.50 (без десяти десять ранку) – it’s ten to ten am
