Starting my first business as a content creator taught me I had to
have my own tone of voice in writing. It wasn’t easy to create
(Especially when I had no background on content marketing).
Jumping from one water lily of writing to another until I a
developed my real voice. (Finally…) It was great. I was happy.
But, my reader weren’t so much. Why you ask? I’ll explain:

Let’s start first with a concept Simon Sinek, author of “Start With
Why”, coined without going in depth called: “The Golden Circle”.

Your business should always start with WHY not how or what.
Answering the question why defines your core-values and
principles. People resonate more with the emotional appeal of your
business and it sets the mold from which you’ll produce your
content voice. Without one you’ll wonder inside a maze like I did.
It’ll save you a lot of trial and error and build an honest, online
reputation. Because you won’t “fake” your purpose, people will
hand you their trust and loyalty by following this principle. One
case of manipulation or misinformation puts your brand integrity at
risk.

Now, how you project your brand promise (aka, your purpose)
contributes to how honest your brand is conceived by your
prospects. The tone in writing your content creators (Or you) use
can either smooth the channel between your brand and prospects or
cause a noise in your marketing communication channel. Bottom
line: There are many types of tones you could use in writing. But
